The mysterious disappearance of Decepticon-Matrix

Post by OneShallStand » Sun Nov 26, 2006 4:34 pm

I don't know if anybody here is familiar with the Decepticon-Matrix website or its owner Cory Koeppen, but he's helped me out a lot in the past and I'm concerned that he's suddenly vanished.

His site hasn't updated since August and his eBay account has also been suspended. Customers of his have been posting on various boards complaining about not receiving their comics or getting a reply. All this is out of character with the guy I know, who I don't believe would have closed his business like that without at least telling people and filling existing orders.

I'm concerned something may have happened to him and was wondering if anyone here had heard anything. My last email from Cory was on May 29th this year.

Dunno, but I've heard more than a few complaints -- and not just recently.

The most recent mention I noticed is here:

I dimly recall some mention of an explanation given being that he'd recently had a kid, but I could be confusing that with someone else...

Apparently his cousin turned up on eBay selling some of the Decepticon-Matrix stock. I messaged him for a bit of info but didn't hear back.

It's possible he may have had a kid and decided he no longer had time to run his TF site and comics business but its still weird. I know if it were me I would have to make an announcement and take the shopping buttons down. It only makes the situation worse if people carry on ordering from your site and never receive a reply or their goods.
