I, Robot to me, was a lot like V for Vendetta (of course, chronologically speaking, it's the other way around, but whatever) in that they both strayed pretty far from their source material, but the essence, the main idea, the "sum it up in a sentance what the movie was bout" was still intact, and therefore I think they were quite servicable as homages to the original text.
And Harlan Ellison kicks ass. "I have no mouth, and I must scream" was one of my fav sci-fi anthologies as a kid (right behind Martian Chronociles).
Not to mention all the stuff he did on THE best US Sci Fi series ever made, Babylon 5.
How can Anyone complain about the movie?
