Ryall let it slip on TFW2005 that Bob and Don will be working together on...well, whatever it is that they're doing....nothing more to add, except that this sounds absolutely amazing. Can't wait.

Cool.

So what do people think of Bob's role in Spidey's clone saga? I always just knew him as the guy who wrote TF.

Bob Budiansky is going to be writing a comic-book illustrated by Don Perlin??!

Blessed be Ryall for he hath heard our small prayers! :D

Sadly, it sounds like he was maybe a bit over his head. I get quite sad reading the Life of Reilly.

But all in all he's grand tho, looking forward to this project!

Um, I didn't think it was Don Perlin Mr Ryall was referring to...

Oh. :( Well, Don Fig is an excellent artist of course, but it just felt so logical for it to be Perlin, seeing as he's just recovered from his medical problems and everything.

Did Bob actually write some of the Clone saga? Hopefully he's been able to block that as successfully as he seems to have forgotten his early, less-distinguished TF work.

No, he was editor-in-chief of Spider-Man books at that time.

So he was the evil mastermind....

I honestly think they must have hated Spider-Man to think that could work.

Honestly? The first 5 issues or so of it, while Spidey was actually still in the middle of his depression, and just about given up his civilian identity were pretty good.

I can exclusively reveal that the Bob'n'Don in question are Bob Mortimer and Don-The one legged crazy taxi driver who was in Corrie a few years ago.
