is BW 3 out in the uk yet?

Over the last 25 years the Transformers have appeared in media from the exquisite to the scribbled and been licensed to the responsible and the... Pat Lee. Discussion of all the branches of TF media within!

Orbital received three issues, of which I managed to get one. Haven't checked FP yet, but none of my other comic shops (Comics Showcase on Charing+ Road, Mega City Comics in Camden) have received any at all. Big distribution problems, it would appear.

It is very good though.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I dunno how much direct importing would cost but I get Infiltration and BW for £2 each and Generations at about £1.30 or something.

Same story here, and from other UK guys I've heard from. Nothing the first week, second week FP here got none, independent shops got a very small amount. A few peeps from elsewhere said their shops recieved 1 copy only...
Messed up, that.

Now I am hearing next week...don't know if I'd count on it, but fingers crossed. Some of the shipping has been screwy recently, things have been released in waves. Some TPBs we ordered didn't get here until 3 weeks past their supposed release date. The distributor was staggering distribution and didn't tell anyone in advance. Mucho annoyedo custemeroso.

I haven't bought an issue yet, waiting for the TPB - but now I see it's gonna be 18$. PLus shipping - which is costly... I'll have to think about buying it. Is it me, or DW's TPB's were cheaper? Especially since Gathering is only 4 issues...

Eighteen bucks is currently £10.08 -- the Titan volumes were £15, a price applied to the Marvel US volumes that only had five issues in them. I'm assuming the BW trade will get some extras.

Check out Amazon Marketplace a bit after it's been released and you'll no doubt get it for cheaper.

Hi Paul,

I was told by Diamond that they had only received 200 of the 3000+ copies that were due to come to the UK. My rep didn't know the reason for this but he did say that IDW was sending more copies this week. I asked that they be sent out as soon as they arrived in the warehouse so its possible that Alex has received them today.

If they haven't shipped, I will purchase stock from my US contacts as soon as I'm back in the UK on Tuesday morning. Speak to you soon.

Regards
Steve

full update:
Hi guys,

I'm back from Australia with a healthy dose of jetlag in tow, but really pleased I did the trip. I hope all is well with you, and I thought I had better send you an email to update you on the situation with Beast Wars #3.

From the limited information I have been able to glean from my supplier, Diamond Comics, the book was released three weeks ago but not enough copies were produced. As a result only 200 made it to the UK, with the rest being snapped up by UK outlets. I received three copies instead of the 100 I ordered. However I was told today that I *should* be getting another 74 this Friday, and just to be on the safe side I am contacting other suppliers. I am focused on getting this resolved ASAP.

In the mean time you might like to know that there are some new comics on the site to order. They are...

INFILTRATION #4: INCENTIVES
I have a limited amount of Megatron 1/50 incentives and Bumblebee foil covers up for grabs - get them while they last.
http://www.oneshallstand.com/shop/IDW/incentive1.html

TF GENERATIONS #6
Shipping in August... it's Blaster versus Lord Straxus all over again in the classic 'The Bridge to Nowhere' (with new covers by IDW).
http://www.oneshallstand.com/shop/IDW/gen6.html

STORMBRINGER #2
The memory of the crazed Decepticon scientist Thunderwing returns to haunt Prime, and the solution may be to unleash The Wreckers.
http://www.oneshallstand.com/shop/IDW/storm2.html

ART OF WAR #5
GI Joe and the Transformers converge for the battle to end all battles in the series finale.
http://www.oneshallstand.com/shop/crossovers/3joe5.html

********

RARE * BEAST WARS * COVERS

I have a pair of 'white' foil covers of Beast Wars 2. They glow blue in the light and are retailing for £30 plus postage on rival sites.
I'm offering them for £15, including postage and packaging, to the first two people who email me.
http://www.oneshallstand.com/foil_incentive.jpg

I've also got two copies of Beast Wars 3 cover D with foil logos which I am selling for £4.75 including postage. Again its first come first served.

********

By the way if you fancy a subscription to Stormbringer for FREE then here's your chance -
http://www.oneshallstand.com/competition.html

(If you win and you've already paid for a Stormbringer sub, I will give you the equivalent amount in credit)

You can also win a Ratchet 'slam dunk' cover, just for posting a message on the OneShallStand boards. Details here -

Best regards,
Steve
cheers as usual to Steve.

Imagine my disappointment! A comic gets posted through my letterbox and it turns out to be... GiJoe Vs TF issue 2. :(

Gutted! Mind you, it could be natural justice for ordering that piece of cack in the first place
