You know, the Vok are the evolved Swarm... the Tri-Predacus council were created by Unicron... where did those come from and which ones are valid?
i remember hearing the Vok thing in the TF:Ultimate Guide but i dont remember where it came from before that
as for Tripredacus council being created by Unicron?
Megatron himself [in the beast wars] said something about Tarantulas being a spawn of Unicron [whether he's stating a fact or saying that as derogative is beyond me.] if its true about Tarantulas being a spawn of Unicron then you'll remember when Tarantulas was trying to blow up the Ark, he had said that himself and the Tripredacus Council were not of Autobot/Decepticon origin, thus blowing up the Ark would do nothing to them
so yeah
i dunno. but it sounds neat and plausible :P

Back in the days when I read ATT, I remember in an interview Bob and Larry said that Megatron's reference to Tarantulas was indeed an insult, not a statement of fact. Tarantulas and Tripredacus were intended to be descended from the G2 Decepticons, hence Tarry's obsession with the Vok/Swarm. However, this was never realised and as Preds noted, the Botcon comics have gone in another direction. So yeah, it was never really explained one way or the other, but makes for fun fanfic.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Covenant posted this over at IDW. It goes into all the Swarm/Vok/Tarantulas/Unicron stuff and debunks a lot of it.

Right on, Senior. A rather thorough and relevant examination of the whole dang thing. As much as I don't want to side with someone who preferred the original G1 cartoon, Forward's ideas about the Vok make infinitely more sense.
I always thought the Swarm's new awareness would have them going out and creating life instead of eating it. They would, in a sense, become another Primus. The Vok were too ambiguous... plus, why would the Swarm want to mess with Earth if they didn't destroy it? I think Furman makes it pretty clear throughout G2 that the Swarm would rather go after Transformers than organics. So why would they have destroyed humans first in g2#12?
I wonder what Furman has to say about all this.
It might be worthwhile at some time to see how McDonough and DW were going to fit all this, including the Liege Maximo, the Vok and the golden discs, into their convoluted continuity. Obviously the Fallen had some relation to the Maximo. I imagine the final picture could be shudder-inducing, but who knows? Maybe DW would have tied up every TF loose end into one great roboboobfest. The universe begins and ends with robot boobs.
Okay, one final question: female BW TFs. I'm guessing they perceive themselves as female because their beast modes are. Some are clearly more susceptible to influence from their beast mode (ie Tigatron) and so this would be a natural side effect. Anyone with me?

BA certainly identified with hers - "I'm a black widow spider, you idiot...I can do both" Don't know much about Airrazor, but your theory holds water.sprunkner wrote:Okay, one final question: female BW TFs. They would have ignored the Liege, turned the Golden Discs into downloaded copies of the Matrix and the god only knows about the Vok, probably puppets of Shockwave's master plan (tm)...sprunkner wrote:It might be worthwhile at some time to see how McDonough and DW were going to fit all this, including the Liege Maximo, the Vok and the golden discs, into their convoluted continuity.
