he was trying to tell me that gundams are better than transformers lets prove this guy wrong

all hes got on me is that energon is lame that the gundams are newer

Gundam is waaaaaaayyyy more much popular than Tfs in Japan. Its also considered a more mature anime.

Gundam has little men piloting transforming robots. TF has transforming robots piloting themselves without little men. End of similarity.

Thank god for Hasbro bringing Diaclone to the USA and losing the drivers. Otherwise, Optimus Prime would be remembered as another one of those brainless controlled Mechs.

toyfare magazine did a battle on them a number of years ago it was close but gundams won fans pointed out the same things pointed her one is robots the other are giant robotic battle suits(not much different the the power ranger zords)

That's the thing that really turns me off Gundam.

I love the idea of huge, sentient robots, but only as long as they are in control of themselves. I guess that's probably the reason I never really enjoyed the Headmaster concept. It tool away for the individuality of the robot itself and added an uncessary human element IMO.

Well lets see, you have a core mythos and some very beloved characters and heroic stories. Then around that you build a vast, loosely connected expanded universe that sort of makes sense but sort of doesn't and actually contradicts itself all over the place. You lose track of who's good and who's bad, young kids have no idea why older folks like the stuff, and the toys range from amazing to crap. In the end, all that links it all together is fandom and the general concepts of giant robots and war.

i've seen gundams and i can say they don't have crusty cockroach crap on any transformer. hell, i'd take wheelie over a gundam. WHEELIE.
