Grimlock or BW Dinobot?

Well its a crossgenerational topic so maybe fits here.

Reading the "tomb of relics" I passed through the Grimlock topic and I started wondering, which of these two characters do you see as the best handled? loved? cared?

Dinobot benefits from only having one writing team and continuity, whereas Grimmers is rubbish in teh cartoon and sometimes rubbish in teh comic.

Also Dinobot could never be accused of being overexposed, which Grimmers has been under Furman...

...but the Dinobot never punched Fangry through the chest or chinned Unicron ith the Ark.

Head says Dinobot, heart says Grimlock.

They are both generally great.

It will be interesting to see how Furman shoehorns g1 Grimlock into the new Beast Wars series.

I think Dinobot could be better compared with Carnivac since they were both defectors and both had a strong code of honor - of course Carnivac never had that much screen time as Dinobot so it wouldn't work. (most people doesn't even know who he is)

I say Grimlock, because in the early season episodes Dinobot was sometimes quite annoying ('We must destroy Megatron and the Predacons!" -talk about a one track mind.) He got much better as the whole Vok angle was dropped... A pity about that lost episode where Dinobot 2 gets his old self's memories.
