I found this while trying to work out who's still knocking around at the end of G2, it's quite interesting but I'm not sure I agree with all of it...for example I was 100% sure Slag bought it in the Swarm while Frenzy's fate was less certain...

interesting list. If the final number of Autobots left over is accurate it paints a depressing picture!

Slag is listed as being active at the end of g2, i thought he was consumed by the Swarm with Slingshot?

I still consider pretty much anyone killed during underbase, for example, as deactivated, not dead. I'm sure we see the Technobots in various future related stories.

NOOoo!! When, when did we see this?! I know we last saw him, after Grimlock had reactivated him, Wheeljack and the rest of the original lads, with nucleon, during Edge Of Extinction.

just looking at the first bit there's loads wrong with this:

General Traachon - Killed by Megatron. - nope, Trannis, and he was High Councillor, not general.
Overlord Sentinel Prime - Died of energon-loss in the presence of Optimus, Megatron and Ravage. - who? Overlord was not Sentinel Prime
Primus - Killed by Unicron while inhabiting the body of Emirate Xaaron. - debatable
Rotgut - Killed by the Demons. - nope, Tailgate again
Slayride - Killed by the Demons. - nope, Tailgate again
Warhead - Killed by the Demons. - nope, Tailgate again

etc.

Hmm?? I just realised that I think I need to reread some stuff, so long ago, since I last reread them.. it was during the sites golden age, where most of the Marvel-run was available for reading.. (I don't think I've ever seen that?? How did I miss that??)

Anyways, maybe Tranfans should make their own list, eh? It'd certainly be a nifty resource for the most obsessed of us fans. What do ye all say, eh? Hosted in the comic-section of Transfans, no? We could start with his list as the basis (heehehe, a little bit of theft, but if he's credited there's no problem)
and then remove the most obvious errors, the slighter ones left, could be ironed out with time.

Well I'd be up for a bit of that, 'cause I'd written Waverider into a lot of stuff, not realising he's been dead since Unicron. Fortunately the obscure Splashdown makes an adequate replacement, so it's not too bad. Also I wanted to use Predaking, but what about Razorclaw and Tantrum? Revivable?

Others off his list feel wrong too...has Horribull really not been seen since Blitzwing cut him in half? What about Seaspray? We see him in a pod aboard the Ark , surely he was Nucleonised too?

i think with a few exceptions you can revive most people if you really want to use them, the obvious plot devices being:

a) Last Autobot

and

b) Swarm regeneration.

of course you should only bring people back from the dead if a) they are cool and b) you are planning on putting them through all kinds of other nasty stuff, whedon style.

YEs, but he's seen again with Bludgeon in G2 when they raid Earth.

Frankly, I say someone is only dead and gone if the body is completely obliterated (like poor Brainstorm) or the brain module is destroyed (Topspin, future Shockwave)

Otherwise, what's the difference between reviving OP (after Shcokwave kills him in issue 4) and Razorclaw? They both had their heads separated from the shoulders...

I think I'll start working on this book of the dead.., I started one years ago, but then I haven't read the entire UK stuff yet, so it needs corrections.

Well I'd assume Prime's head wasn't just yanked off. Shockwave needed him alive and so probably carefully disconnected it.

TFs can also do this voluntarily - see the Headmasters.

Of course Transformers can survive decapitations (see Cloudburst) but it might depend if its a clean cut or not. Cyclonus wasn't so lucky.

Then it was you! I remembered reading a pretty good one. You also did a "Top 10 stupidest deaths" list as I recall. You know, I might still have that death list. I'll look. In the meantime I'll get pics of the death scenes.... a grim task, but it needs to be done.

I can't see any obvious mistakes, but then I wouldn't have bothered typing the original if I could Doesn't mean they aren't there though! As an aside, I know Overlord [wasn't that a title?] and anything from The Missing Years is absent

EDIT 2: Hmm, Quake, Weirdwolf and Octopunch should probably be in as conjecture for "End of the Road". Grimlock's hardly likely to punch Fangry's chest in, and then just tie the other three up or something. Yeh, Brend, I know you would have... On the subject of "End of...", Siren should be there as conjecture for being revived too - no reason why not, though it's not fact as we didn't see it, and if Quig was in there, that's a possible complication. Also, do we see Squeezeplay legging it after he got zapped?
