Yeah. Poor Gort. He did all he could to make Highbrow less of a ****, and look where that got him. Being in close proximity to Highbrow is bad for your health.BB Shockwave wrote:But, see, it was Gort who made Highbrow kick Scoponok's ass! Without him,he's just you everyday snob.

When I read it as a kid, I never understood Highbrow's death,,, what was that "closer, closer" muttering anyway? Even up close he couldn't have done much harm to Unicron...

I think Brainstorm suffered the same sorta logical meltdown that shockers did when facing Unicron. He probably over-heated his head too, since he does do that when he tries to solve the too-hard ones.
Alas, he could do naught, but stand in paralysation, as a 50kilometer finger-nail whisked him up to be used as an appetizer.

When in fact it was "ol thickie" Grimlock himself who thought of it.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:scorpy had the same thought then?
Highbrow with all his brain-cellls should have gone for the old 'fly shuttles into the back of unicrons head' plan...
Hidden depths...
Logic dictates there is no place for such emotionalism in a Decepticon commander. Nor is there room for incompetence.

Wheelie, Blurr and Rodimus Prime would be the top three that I think the majority of people hate. Not everyone of course, because you can't find someone EVERYONE hates but the majority I think.
I don't hate Hot Rod at all though but I do hate Rodimus. Go figure, they are supposed to be the same guy but they aren't to me.
Wheelie is useless. No point at all to him. He Rhymes and is supposed to be all cute and child like. Umm and this is fun how?
Blurr is just annoying, I don't remember him doing anything worthwhile but being annoying.
Rodimus was great at complaining that he wasn't as good as Optimus and you could almost hear the huge sigh of relief when Optimus Prime did come back eventualy to take over for the whinny Rodimus.
Those would be my three. Can't think of anyone before the movie that was really disliked by everyone. Maybe Huffer or Gears perhaps.. but I didn't hate them really. They did add some substance unlike Wheelie.

It's weird that Furman killed off most of the Autobot Headmasters that day... Highbrow, Brainstorm, Hardhead, Hosehead- And since Siren and Nightbeat also buy it later, that leaves Chromedome as the last surviving one.Predabot wrote:I think Brainstorm suffered the same sorta logical meltdown that shockers did when facing Unicron. And he was seen last running from Unicron like hell. With Ravage. These guys had some sense...

its not confidential.
I've got nothing against Highbrow. Admittedly it's been a while since I last read the comics, but I don't remember hating him. Don't remember overly liking him, though.
Never liked Hardhead.
Grrr. Argh.
I thought Nightbeat survived??BB Shockwave wrote:It's weird that Furman killed off most of the Autobot Headmasters that day... Highbrow, Brainstorm, Hardhead, Hosehead- And since Siren and Nightbeat also buy it later, that leaves Chromedome as the last surviving one.

A bit. I did not like him at first, but soon to got to appreciate his role in the comedy duo that was Nightbeat+Siren. And he does have a slight charm. Was not averse to him being chopped into bits, tho.
Shame Hosehead never got much development.
Does Siren even appear in G2? Honestly cannot remember.
I still do not get the apparent large dissing of Blurr. Is it simply based on that he got a lot of screentime but did little? Or do people not like 'speedy' voices...?

True enough, but if a Headmaster gets his head chopped... that's pretty bad for the Nebulan.I wonder if the Last Autbot can revive Nebulans too? if so, there's a chance he could revive Scorponok.,..Best First wrote:When does Siren die though? He buys it on Klo, but its pretty much implied that anyone who did got the ol' Last Autobot treatment.
On topiv, Sirens a bit annoying, eh?
Siren's "Elementary,my dear Nightbeat" line is classic. Besides, all cool characters need a doofus sidekick...

That's what i've kind of always thought, he wasn't able to restore the nebulan's 100%, but he could incorporate their minds into mechanical bodies, so he fused them into one being.Best First wrote:Maybe that's teh get out clause - he Nebulans come back fully cybertronian or as one fused being.
Must've sucked to be a Nebulan Targetmaster after Klo....

seeing as they didn't do that in the first place, that fact suddenly dawning on them after having fought in an alien civil war, fought against a Demi-God, been slaughtered by their enemies and then resurrected by the last guardian of another Demi-God... is a bit unlikely... IMHOBest First wrote:Or someone could have just gone 'hang on, this is all a bit mental, eh?'

Prime: See that green blob of melted metal?
LA: Yes.
Prime: That was Scorponok. One of the noblest Transformers I've ever met. Please revive him.
LA: As you wish.
Prime: Oh, and see that purple blob over there?
LA: Yes.
Prime: That's also Scorponok.
LA: I see.
Prime: And that small orange blob, and that other small green blob, oh and that other purple blob...
LA: I hope this won't take long. There are other Transformers awaiting revival, you know.
Prime: ...and that green blob just there. No, sorry. That was Hardhead. Oooh! Over ther! That blob was Scorponok!

yeah, i think we need to draw the line between "revive" and "recreate".
most of the bots we see get recreated are still in one bit more or less, it is quite possible they were just severly incapacitated or deactivated rather than just plain dead.
in my mind, the Last Autobot needed some sort of spark of life (no pun intended) to rebuild the fallen from, he couldn't just create life imho.
which is why i don't think he could recreate totally organic life, hiq was a special case i reckon because prime's "spark"/essence had merged with him. as far as we know, prime was the only bot that that had happened to.

I reckon it happened to the other powermasters, but they weren't sissy enough to say "Ooh! I've got tummy ache! Sorry, can't fight Unicron!"Legion wrote:which is why i don't think he could recreate totally organic life, hiq was a special case i reckon because prime's "spark"/essence had merged with him. as far as we know, prime was the only bot that that had happened to.
They just went on and suffered the merging while fighting their little exhausts off.
Then again, they weren't in charge of the combined Autobot and Decepticon forces, so they could probably afford the little distraction of a physiological shake-up.
And returning to topic,
Wesley Crusher!
Sorry, I know this is meant to be G1 only. But still...

Heh, for getaway that would've been back ache surely?
