Tf signal that Snarl said seems to be in.. two parts

Post by The Last Autobot » Thu Sep 15, 2005 2:47 am

In issue 74 Grimlock s dinobots are looking for Tf life signs on Earth (right after everyone is transported by Primus to Cybertron) but Snarl only managed to find one life signal "Even thats a strange one. It seems to be in not one but two parts".

It couldnt be Fort (who is in the ark).

Who or what do you think it was?

Its Fortress Maximus. I agree it doesn't make total sense, as whilst Fort is sort of 2 parts, one part is on Earth (Spike) and one is on the Ark (Fort). It also means Spike, a human, registers as a TF life signal, but this may have something to do with the binary bonding process.

I remember that scene bugging me for ages, and I wasn't sure if we'd ever find out. When Fort Max did return it still took me by surprise. It was a neat little mystery anyhow (a bit Brad Mickesque I suppose).

Its Flywheels. He has been wandering round since time wars, thsi was Furman's big plan for continuing the G1 comic - the 'Flywheels takes over Boston' arc.

Sadly the comic got axed before we could have seen this wonderful piece of story telling.

Indeed! :D Funny how Simon left out the whole 'split personality' complex from the techspecs and still made Flywheels cool. 8)

Shouldn't Fortress Maximus' signal have been in, like, four parts?

I mean, there was Maximus, Cerebros, Spike, and the fossilized remains of Galen.

And, yes, there would have been remains of Galen's armour, as TF's can survive molten lava (see Galvatron and Ultra Magnus for proof of that). Otherwise, It'd be a simple matter for the Scorponok's Decepticons to dispose of their enemy's leader.

Now, a TF being able to survive a dip in molten Transformer, that's a different matter. ;)

Well if remains counted, there would be plenty more tf signals in Earth than 2.

Except that they were dead at the time...

Snarl was looking for TF "LIFE" signals. Fort Max was dormant, Spike was alive. The patrol, well Stromcloud was melted down and the others were pretty much deactivated in nasty ways.

Speaking of Patrols, whatever happened to the other Micros? Roadhandler and co... My guess, after 'Wrestling' Furman simply wanted to make us forget them... :p

when was Stormcloud melted down?

If you mean the fight with Dynamo, again we see no conclusive sign of their deaths do we?

I wonder if Primus brought back the dead along with the living to Cybertron before the Unicron War.

Though I suppose that would be pointless.

depends if they are 'dead' or 'deactivated' i guess

I would like to think Primus has the power to reactivate fallen Transformers, like the Last Autobot did.

Yeah. But he left the Ark bots to be reactivated by Nucleon.

What happened to all the Decepticons' Starscream-deactivated casualties? I know most show up again in G2 but where are they in the meantime?

I'd assume so.

And Soundwave was back pretty sharpish.

Was anyone else annoyed at the way Starscream begged to Scorpy: "Please take me back!" Since when did he ever serve Scorpy, eh?

never really thought about it much before tbh - although that whole scene seemed a bit pathetic, even for Starscream.

And why can Pretender Starscream take on the whole of Scorpy's army anyway?

I enjoyed the Return of Megatron story at the time, but in all honesty, it's probably got more holes than any other Furmy story. And yes, that includes Time Wars!

Yeah it develops the Prime/Scorpy relationship between Underbase and Unicron War.

Ratchet's cool in it too.

Beats Meccanibals anyway.

True.

I bet it would seem a whole lot more platable if one of the UK artists had been on it.

Well, the art was shoddy but Dynamo makes hot molten metal or something spray at him,and even the narration says he was melted. Now, being melted is pretty bad for your brain module...

I'd say the others were only deactivated, since Dynamo just shoots them, and Whisper was blown up, so I guess they could be alive. Even so, I'm sure they ended up in some secret goverment lab... :eyebrow:
