Transformers Movie in 2007? WOW

Has anyone seen this link? Lotsa news. Even has an interview with Steven Spielburg who apparently has always loved our metallic heros.

Anyone know anything more about this? Spielburg did great with War of the Worlds in direction and the tripod martian machines. Real eerie movie. Worth seeing despite Tom Cruise and his disfuntional famlies overdone silly performance. Sitting in the theater I kept imagining what it would be like to see say a 100 foot tall alien machine towering over your little neighborhood street or town making eardrum breaking noises and shooting up the place.
Hope he does even better with Transformers.
