the concept of making this film from the human point of view might just make it different enough to warrent it acceptable to joe public, whilst keeping us fans happy. hmm

That actually makes it kind of worse for me in a couple of ways. :( One is the repeated emphasis on that "boy and his car" shtuff. The other being from the descriptions this will be more a "people watching Transformers fight" then a "Transformers fighting around humans" flick, you know what I mean? Eh, whatever. I'm just going to have to pop a chill pill or two, let time pass, and wait for more concrete stuff on the movie before dropping this fifty pound axe I'm holding over my head...

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.

The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

And as I've said before, if the TFs get properly characterized, then it doesn't matter what point of view we see them in, it'll be cool.

And as I've said before, SC and Bloke are going to be ripping out their hair in frusteration and agony over this movie before it's even a year away. But on the bright side....
"You can easily open a Transformers movie with the Transformers on their planet cooking eggs or whatever and set them up in this very strange scenario,"
At least they've already mapped out the sequel. I hope they get Wreck-Gar to play Julia Child.

'It's the story of a boy and his car.'

Then it will be a "Herbie the Tf Movie"

No, that would the "the story of a big boobed redhead teenager and her car"
Impy wrote:If you look at that dreamworks promo pre-vis CGI, notice the car that transforms and drops off a human....
But I don't think that has to be a horrible, dreaded thing. There was nothing wrong when Starscream held Sparkplug captive in his cockpit (geez, whoever thought up THAT word?).

I'm just saying, even though we'd like to see humans & TF instead of HUMANS & tf, if the characters are done right, it might not suck. We're just so burned out on years of Rad and Kicker and even Neo Knights that we're highly skeptical.
SC wrote:Yup, likely. Which sucks... ...I like my hair.
Bah. As I recall, you said you could stand to lose a bit. :P Just tear it out and send it to me and I'll paste it on my barren head.

Hmm, mayhaps I've been a bit hasty here.

Ah, we're not just talking hair on my head. My bad. I'll call FedEx right now for a pickup.

The ending to that ep is one of my all time favorites.

Which part, the "Go ahead and cry, you big crybaby!" by Thom Yorke, the "Mmmm Scot, let me taste your tears, they're so yummy!" by Cartman, or the Looney Tunes inspired closing?

*keeps on swimming outside of the "Topic" buoys and tries to avoid the glare of Lifeguard BF*

"Hey you with the mouthful of pubes! Outta the pool!"
That was a disturbing South Park ep - but one of the best.
Luckily my lack of hair will stand me in good stead while waiting for the TF movie. I have plenty of pubes if you really WANT them (a Secret Santa gift?). Hope you don't mind ginger ones.

And I could easily sign up to watch this:

I think Covenant and I are just frustrated at all the pitfalls that this film will have to skirt around to meet our high expectations. If the things about the movie we have read so far are only the beginning, I reckon SC will be polishing his bald and shiney pate before the end of the year.
