Weve been here before but what the hell.
I was just reading the profile for Scattershot, and thought, wouldnt he make an excellent wrecker

Thoughts on him, and who would be in your wreckers and mayhem attack squads?

By God man...
I have been thinking about him for my line-up too!!
My line-up would for the wreckers GOLD-team would include:
Rodimus, Blaster, Scattershot, Twintwist, Ultra Magnus, Repugnus (this man-thing...is positively bad-arse!)
I'd love to put Sunstreaker and maybe Sideswipe in this team, but I'm saving em' for my Wreckers Alpha team. The idea to not have more then one Wreckers-team operational if possible, at the same time, is rediculous.
--more to follow--
Scattershot it one mighty tripple-changing fella. His personality kinda isn't what you'd expect from someone who's the key-component in Computron.

Mmmm...Mayhems.
Onslaught. Apeface. Gutcruncher. Razorclaw, Divebomb...probably the rest of the Predacons as back-up in case Predaking is needed... Thrust. Bombshell. Ravage as leader. Possibly G2 Dreadwind.
Did I miss anyone?

Scattershot is excellent, one of my faves - reminds me of R. Lee Ermey.
Scenes featuring the Technobots are great fun to write, as they have a really interesting group of personality quirks, and they're led by a shouty sergeant type bloke. I started a story featuring them pretty much as is, but with Wheeljack and Jetfire added, as a commando team. Fun to do for a while.
Repugnus is a nice pick.
Someone different...how about Vroom? Pretender, saboteur, (over)confident...motorcycle mode is reasonably uncommon.
Chainclaw could do with some more exposure. A tough ground trooper, slightly unsure of himself tho.
Manta Ray from G2? He was raring to go all the time, seemed up for dangerous missions. Limited-viability alt-mode tho.
Pounce is cool. Mayhems....Onslaught, Razorclaw, Divebomb are great choices. Shrapnel rather than Bombshell, maybe?
New Mayhems seem easier to pick...
Banzai-Tron, Treadshot. Beastbox...maybe not Squawktalk, just Beastbox. Quake. Eagle Eye. Iguanus. Would have liked to see some more of the Monster Pretenders. Someone like Icepick, or hell, all of them.

Bludgeon, Octopunch, Stranglehold, Bugly, Banzai-Tron, Fangry, Pounce and occasionally Double Punch make a badass Mayhem Attack Squad in the Archive RPG, even with the predictably constant infighting. Spinister (already a Mayhem alumni), Bomb-Burst, Ravage, Sixshot, Treadshot, Roadblock, Ramjet and Ruckus would all be good choices, too. Hun-grrr is a good candidate, but the rest of the Terrorcons most certainly are not and I'd shy away from splitting up the team that forms the Decepticons' second-deadliest combiner.
The Wreckers are a bit harder to pick, because most of the best candidates have already been part of the team. Air Raid, Blades and Scattershot would all be good fits, but I'd leave at least one of them off the roster in order to keep at least one full gestalt on call at any time. Jazz, Sideswipe and Getaway would all fit in perfectly, while Repugnus and Sunstreaker might work if Springer could make them keep their psychoses in check.

Ahhh...many good choices here.
Now for the Wreckers Alpha team!
Springer
Sandstorm
Impactor Beta
(Or somesuch name. A new Impactor! It's not the old one, but rather a new Autobot made in a nearly identical design, perhaps even a bit of spark-clonage, like Ultra Magnus/Optimus. This Impactor, altough eager to get into the scrapping and prove himself is young and unsure of himself, feeling the heavy yoke of living up to the name Impactor.)
Broadside
Dogfight
Quickswitch(! Brings some balancing muscle to the team, so they come up to the level of the Gold-team)
Sunstreaker + Sideswipe (stand-by member, on some missions he might be needed to control Sunny)
Makes one h*ll of a team don'tcha say?
I'll need to think some more about the Mayhems, but they're sure to need Sixshot. Immagine a fight between him and Quickswitch, eh?

The fight that seemed destined, but for some reason has never occured.. ....to my knowledge anyway.Predabot wrote:I'll need to think some more about the Mayhems, but they're sure to need Sixshot. Immagine a fight between him and Quickswitch, eh?
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.
