Post by FlowBizkit » Wed Jun 29, 2005 9:17 pm

Hi guys,
i'm from Germany and have got a question.
At first in Germany not every Season/Generation whatever wa son screen.
From my Childhood i remember only some episodes of Generation 1 and later beast wars - thats it!

So I want to buy this and that and i beg you for help.
Where's the Difference because i don't know a thing about Generation 2!!!

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 31435&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 33187&rd=1

Do you have these DVD Sets? Ar there better...
Tell me about the quality and EVERYTHING I need to know!!!
PLEASE!!!
If I order them I have to pay lots of money and i don't want to be disappointed - perhaps it makes sense to buy both.
Equal episodes different names???
I don't have a clou - in Germany not every Season got synchronised and perhaps thats the reason why i don't know every episode from G1.
I'm honest I've never heard about G2

Please contact me here or flowbizkit@gmx.de

BIG THANKS TO THOSE WHO'LL HELP ME !!!
Flo

The first link is a link to a DVD with the first three seasons of the G1 Transformers animated series. If you remember the cartoons from your childhood with Optimus and Megatron, these are the ones you remember.

The second link is to a DVD with the last three seasons of the G1 Transformers animated series, entitled Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory. These three seasons featured some of the later line G1 Transformers, such as Pretenders, Head/Target/Powermasters, and Micromasters. However, these seasons were not as widely distributed across the globe and airwaves, as in many places, Transformer popularity was beginning to wane.

So, to sum up, they are both G1: before G2 (which didn't even have a cartoon) and Beast Wars. If you're looking for the shows from your childhood, go with the first auction.

A G2 cartoon based on the comic would've been damn cool.

That was quite possibly the crappiest thing I'd ever seen - it made my head hurt SO much. But it's cool to have for any post-pub or doobie sessions. That 'cyber-distract you alot' cube got on my nips as well - bugger off and let me watch the episode. Didn't it have little boxes with TFs talking when they were in vehicle mode, kinda like in RID - but crappier?

They weren't originally produced in English.

There are official (and awful) Star TV dubs for some of the Japanese series, and subbed versions produced by fans... official subbed versions are slated to be released in the UK and Europe at some point...

http://www.transfans.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3601

Note: Japanese Headmasters replaces US Season Four (ie, Rebirth doesn't take place in Japanese continuity.) There's a slightly higher mortality rate amongst characters in the Japanese stuff, but ultimately it seems to be just more of the same.
