Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

It's gorgeous in'it?
I cannot deny my pessimism is truly wavering here. The two voices out there for IDW, Ryall and Taylor, are doing a bangup job with their interviews, with Furman onboard the story's got a chance at being, you know, good, and now this art. I'm pleased. I really am. ^_^
[EDIT]
There's four posts other than Taylor's in that IDW topic featuring the art at the time of me typing this edit. Two are from me, the other two; 1-doesn't like the way the hands were done, otherwise has no problem. 2-Looks too cartoony (awuh?) and nothing like DW's old style.
[/EDIT]

GO RUNABOUT!!! It's your big break buddy!!!
Only gripe: Ratchet. I prefer white headed Ratchet (did the go with red because he's supposed to be a hard ass now?)

And where Runabout is, Runamuck can't be far behind. Hopefully they'll amount to more than the TF version of Beaver & Bunghole, er, I mean Beavis & Butthead.Shanti418 wrote:GO RUNABOUT!!! It's your big break buddy!!!

I hate to say this, but I really dislike both of those images. They look look like a novice fan's attempt to duplicate the early Dreamwave colors in a G1-toon style and failing.
It's better than I could do, but I miss Guido, Don, and Joe already.

All right, this is it. Let's see if he's got what it takes. I'll edit and comment later.
EDIT: Ok, not that bad. About the only thing that looks odd here is Astrotrains giant crotch. Fine amount of detail, the coloring is pretty good. I acctually think the style IS very Dreamwave-esque, nothing bad there. The hands look like a thing inbetween the old marvel-way and the DW-way, I have no prob with that.
What's really positive for me is that the new alt-mode thing is hardly visible, about the only thing I notice is Ratchets new shoulders and Screamers new legs, and chest. In fact, I think Screamers is the one that sticks out the most. I can probably live with this.
But, altho EJ Su seems to have improved quite a lot since the Joe/TF crossover, judging from these at a quick glance, he's still not quite as shaking as the big talent was at DW.
Now, if they put Wildman on v2, I'll go absolutely bat-Sh*t happy. And it's not exactly impossible now is it?
But, already variants?? I believe it says "b]2 variant[/b]" covers. This means there's already a regular one in the works?? Maybe they need to take it a bit easy here.

Um, what's up there? The two last one's are completely different in their style of art, not to mention the Starscream in the back ground of "cover #3" is the same as the old Screamers, not the one featured in Cover 2. The last two utterly suck btw.

It's several orders of magnitude more competent than that dross, and I think you'll find Ratchet is in Marvel colours.

The 2 new covers are what's dross Denyer.
The first one with the Decepticons is abhorrent. What the h*ll is up with Screamers and Soundwave in the background?! They look amateurish. It looks as if that artist is far more adept in drawing humans than giant robots.
The second new one, isn't all that bad. But the reddish obnoxious coloring messes it up royally.

Cheers for the linkage.
I like all of these a fair amount, some more than others obv. I like the Autobot groupshot the most, particularly keen on the new elements to Prowl and Ratchet.
Nice to see some 'proper' IDW TF comic E.J. Su work.
The whining (not here) is much as I expected.

I still doubt their even real. Why would IDW give out covers that don't even match their new concepts. Plus, they didn't mention those two on their website, so... ...?Manchester Devil wrote:L...the other two less so.

I don't think that anyone's posted the acctual teaser-synopsis for issue #0 so I'll do it now.
"TRANSFORMERS: INFILTRATION #0
Written by Simon Furman, art by EJ Su, covers by EJ Su, Milx, James Raiz, Ed McGuinness.
The new era for Transformers begins now! After too-long an absence, the Robots in Disguise are back in comics form! This is the beginning of an all-new storyline and continuity that relaunches the Transformers from the ground up. If you've always been curious about these giant, transforming robots, this is the perfect jumping-on point! In this specially priced introductory issue, legendary Transformers writer Simon Furman is joined by artist EJ Su in presenting "Transformers: Prelude to Infiltration," the opening salvo in an upcoming six-part saga that returns the Transformers to glory. In this 16-page tale, runaway Verity Carlo absconds with a mini-computer that just might hold bigger secrets than she's prepared to handle. And when she's made aware of a larger conspiracy that involves gigantic alien robots, well, the skeptic in her refuses to believe what she's been told. Until she has no choice but to believe if she wants to survive at allŠ also contained in this 0 issue are interviews with the Transformers comics creators and a hint of what's to come in our new, ongoing Transformers series in January '06. Plus, more variant covers than you can shake a Decepticon at. Covers will be shipped in a 1-to-1 ratio. "
I've been hearing around the net that one of the covers is by Raiz too, Besters. I haven't seen any confirmation on it yet tho.
EDIT: Ah, read the top of the text more clearly. One of em' is indeed by Raiz. I do believe that the one that I dislike the most is made by McGuinness. Now, who is..Milx?

Verity Carlo. The new Witwicky.
Hmm, I'm hoping that entire paragraph is merely the ideas presented within the first couple of pages of the comic, and that Issue #0 isn't entirely about this Verity Carlo with a couple of Transformers showing up near the end.

I didn't read the top text stating who the creative team was very clearly at first no, as we already know who they are.Ozz wrote:So, you don't read stuff you post, do you?
Also, I'd like to point out, that your little pun is to late methinks, after I posted it, and checked it again (saw it first at Seibertron) I noticed the credits.
Your post time is after my editing, but is inconsequential.

Seeing as I suspect the artists on the 2 new ones are called Milx(?? btw, why do you all think that the Prime/megs cover has such a different colouring-style compared to the 2 first?) and Alec McGuinnes it's not all that improbable. (Oddly, the colouring on this one looks very flat, what's up with that?)
Could have sworn I've seen McGuinness produce much better tho...
EDIT: Things are moving fast. There's been more art revealed. It's Shockers in action, rather well-drawn acctually. Perhaps a bit simplistic, but it looks kinda good.
http://www.newsarama.com/IDW/Tformers_S ... ve_rgb.jpg
Apparently it will be turned into a wrap-around cover. The artists are Ed McGuiness/Jeromy Cox. Odd, this means that the Decepticons/Fleeing Humans cover can't possibly be by McGuinnes, as this pic looks much better??
