Its probably scrounge, because.

a. hes on the old scrap heap
b. hes a ground based mobile
c. he doesnt have any doors

But isn't Scrounge a bit of a little guy? Pred said the bot in question is only slightly less than average. Plus I don't picture Scrounge wanting to lead the Autobots.

Rounding up, and still amazed this one's going (good job Pred):

Likely would have liked to lead the Autobots.
Been around longer than the Aeiralbots.
Not Bumblebee, but close on that answer?
Not red in color.
Not green at all.
Size is medium small, slightly less than "average".
Not a master of any kind.
Not a Pretender.
Not part of a notable sub-group.
Never a toy made of him.
Alt. mode fast but not good for racing.
Not a two or a four door vehicle, but definitely groundbased.
Not a rescue vehicle alt. mode.
Alt. mode has not place for smaller being to sit.
Alt. Mode is not an animal.

My alt-mode is some form of gyro-scopic wheel or something, I am yellow.

And I didn't think he was all that small...only slightly less than average because he was a bit thin. Maybe now in hindsight, saying that he would have liked to lead some autobot-fraction was a bit out of the blue, but he always seemed like the kind of guy that wanted recognition so badly.

Heh, when I made my last post it was something like 00:45 local time, and I was getting up at 8 for 'work' so I went into the snooze-machine.
