Over the last 25 years the Transformers have appeared in media from the exquisite to the scribbled and been licensed to the responsible and the... Pat Lee. Discussion of all the branches of TF media within!

Soundwvae and his crew returned to the future before the storm ended, and so they returned to the future as they remembered it, but when the time storm ended the timeline was rewritten, and the future everyone came from was totally destroyed and rewritten into a new one.

Since Rodimus and co styaed in the past until everything changed, they were unaffected, time changed around them, but the changes didn't affect them.

Thus, when they returned everything was differant EXCEPT them.
See my earlier post for the concise version of this. ;)
What I want to know is, in the new timeline Rodimus and co still had to go back to the past, otherwise everyone in the future would've been "why'd you go into the past? THere's no reason" when they returned, since Rodimus never mentioned anything like that in "Aspects of Evil" it mean that in the revised timeline they still had a reason to go back to the past (couldn't have been for Galvatron). WHAT WAS THAT REASON?!
Ok, so the 'original' Roddy & co from the revised future went into the past. Or did they? They could really have gone anywhere, including nowhere (the best place for getting away from it all!).

Alternatively, they could have been exploring the past in an attempt to understand why the records showed their presence in Time Wars, since their Galvatron doesn't appear to have time-travelled.

Although, we've got no proof of that either. And my explanation shows that their Galvy did indeed time-travel... into the Perchance to Dream timeline. ;)

It does?

Personally, I always thought that those stories were out-of-continuity.

Ah, but 'cos it's time travel, it can dump all over continuity.

It's like the Occam's Razor of Transformers time-travel.
