Over the last 25 years the Transformers have appeared in media from the exquisite to the scribbled and been licensed to the responsible and the... Pat Lee. Discussion of all the branches of TF media within!

I think because the design is too rounded, and I detect Pat Lee's malign influence. It makes it difficult to draw the character consistently, which benefits an artist who can't draw consistently from panel to panel anyway.
Hound wrote:I think Furman is purposefully underplaying Soundwave to spring something of a surprise on readers when he does show up.
Possible. Better than shouting "OMG, nu-take r0xx0rz, [insert entire plot here]" in the style of DW anyway...
Nice.

Then the 'it it isn't G1 it is crap' shouting will properly begin. Joy.
Cudgels at the ready, eh?

If Grimmy and the Dinos are sidelined for a decent amount of time, that's fine with me. But I wonder who'll get to play the jerk amongst the ranks of goody-goody Autobots.
Mirage? Hardhead?

Cliffjumper?
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Furman's already said that Ratchet is gonna be a bit of a rebel. Perhaps we will see a lot of the old characters displaying
broader personalities that they previously did.

Prowl's always worked well in that role—
Crisis of Command, anyone?

You also have Brawn, Gears and Huffer who could fill that role..assuming Furman keeps with the original Ark crew...

Hmmm...will be interesting to see how they introduce the later characters. What's the betting that Shockwave will show up from Cybertron and announce that he's behind everything?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I'd love to see Mirage as the morally ambiguous one.
Or Sunstreaker - but hopefully not in the appalling calling people jerks for no reason DW way. Please?

He's always had that true potential for such a roll. I'm surprised no ones really tried to run on it yet.

There alwways seems to be a lack of conviction when it comes to doing good guys who aren't sure they are on the right side within the TF mythos.
Maybe its the kiddie origins.

Mirage was one of the only TFs to get a full character arc in Marvel's 4 opening stories. Then he was sort of forgotten about. Shame.
