The real fans on this site are just the greatest- despite all the mudslinging and madness and fan **** I really feel like we are building a community. I know we are doing something right when that TFW2005 site continues to poo poo us. They’ll pay to see the film three times just to tell us what we have done wrong.

OK, so now TFW2005 is stupid too 'cause they don't adore Don's magnificient
fatness...

Michael Bay is signed at this point for the film- BUT- he has to finish THE ISLAND and it’s not finished yet- before he can focus on TF. His Line Producer a great guy named Ian Bryce (HI IAN!) is dealing with department heads and other details. We were hoping to have a script last week but we don’t. But we will soon. Voice actors and Arcee and other things will be addressed at the right time. Welcome to the hell that is Producing- things move VERY slowly in my world. And yes, it is frustrating to me."

Yes, he mentions how hard his job is about ten times per day... I seriously doubt all producers are like this guy. I hope.

"So what is next for THE Project? Desanto and I will be at ComicCon. Someone had the idea to drop a big ass truck in the middle of the convention and wrap it up as “Coming Soon” – we hopefully killed that lameness. We want to have bags and tee shirts and posters- all teasers. The Official Site will go on line at the con. We want to create the first ever Official fan blog. You can come by to the booth, type in your thoughts on TF and get a T-Shirt, and the blog will be permanently online for all to see. Well at least with Simon at IDW's, I hope the MOvie's comic version will be made by the right hands when it comes out...

The part that kills me is Murphy's constant, "They're still going to see it anyway," attitude. Yes, I will see it, once. Have fun squawking on about how great you are making your contracted percentage off of the nothing I'll pay to do it likely. And even if I break down and pay to go see it on a big screen, so the [composite word including 'f*ck'] what. Doesn't mean it's going to be the beall of TFs. And let's say, for some ungodly reason, the nonsense of consensus he heralds over on his site actually manages to produce a halfway decent flick (HA!); Does this mean Don Murphy isn't a ******* ****head? No, he still is. At first it just bugged me that he didn't bother treading around (like Ryall here recently, good form) established TF boards to get input, but rather just tossed in his own forum to do this all in. That's l-a-z-y. But then, after reading his rants, it started to bug me even more at how much of a public asshole he is. I still love the idea that his "stooges", as he calls them, don't seem to get the notion that if Murphy wasn't working on this film they wouldn't kiss his ass, wouldn't visit his site, and would see him for the self-serving prick he really is.

I have read Tony Bacala’s statement. It is well written and to the point. I never understand the tendency of some people to say “I don’t care what you think and I don’t care if you listen” and then speak out anyway. But that’s his right.

SC - So what's Murphy's problem with people presenting their right to notice he's a giant vagina of a ****?

I do read most everything on this board. It’s been a fun year or so for me with the board. It just seems, after reading TFW2005 and the related threads here that I would like to state some things….

I’m just one producer who happens to have a fan who put up a site (Hi JIM!) that I slowly have taken interest in. Tom Desanto is a producer on TF. Lorenzo D’Buonaventura is a producer. Steven Spielberg is an Exec Producer. Brian Goldner is an Exec Producer. Adam Goodman runs the studio. John Fox and Mark Haimes run the project.

So I am not the be all and end all.

Tformers has sent me some interview questions. I went to one site after Chokkei Lujardo linked to some insult. I went to TFW2005 after I heard they were bashing my idea for the DVDS. This was all started by that German dude who privately emailed me thinking he knew everything about who the proper fans were. There is no such thing. I have an interest in Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. I have an interest in Charles Manson. I have interests everywhere. I don’t go on every related site. I have a life too.

You JUST stated this movie may or may not happen, so what's the last year or so been for? Merely to receive praise from a load of asskissers, only to claim you have no interest in it later? You say your board is not an official anything even though prior you'd happily blubber out of your gape that it was the ONLY place for fans to put in input, after which you'd dis on any other TF board that didn't like the way you were handling things, and rightfully so.

Here, it's from one of his self-important stickied topics recently posted. I just bolded in my comments rather than use that usual quote/my statement thing this time. As much as I hate trying to read on his site, curiosity gets the best of me sometimes and I have to attempt a looksie just to see what's happening. Most of the time I read half of one topic and have to give up. It's painful.

Two words; Movie-hopping.

I'd be happy to do it, and likely will. The only thing likely to be even remotely decent about this flick (provided Murphy & his "stooges" don't have as much real input as it seems and something semi-good comes of all this on the part of the other producers & whatnot) will be the fact the cg will be impressive (pending no screw up in that part as well). As such, while I'll likely add one of the copies Impy will be selling to my collection for mere fact I'm sinful enough to have the toon series as well (it's cheese, I know), I do plan to actually pay for a flick I've seen and liked (don't know which right now, but how can one right?) then simply depart to the other theater. It's so easy, just don't be paranoid or obvious. Plus, the workers always seem to be on the lookout for teens, not adults. Yay.

Wrapped-Up: [composite word including 'f*ck'] Murphy and his constant squeal of "You'll see it anyway retards!". I certainly will, and you'll not make a dime you *****. I also saw the comment of someone (something like, not word-for-word mind you) "I guess I'll just have to go see it four times instead of three to make up for that missing ticket". Well at least I can say at the end of this all 'I tried'. I can guess that everything I felt most loathsome about that forum and its inhabitants, which was meant to spawn the blockbuster we should all be grateful for, has been highlighted in glorious technicolour.

Any normal human being might then recover wisdom enough to understand, when the nature of things was demonstrated so succinctly, but I guess not in Don Murphy's case.

Nah salright. Thanks for the thought. That nonsense out of Murphy's mouth really upset me, I had to say something about it and now I'm safe in the knowledge that somewhere a group of halfwits are laughing and calling me names. Which just makes it worse. I knew what I was letting myself in for but I had to say something, someone had to.

Guess all I can do is try and ignore it and travel around... that way eventually I have to hit the burger joint where they're in the kitchen ^_^

Presumably by that time Murphy will have choked himself on his own arrogance and been turned into the world's largest serving of minnestrone
