Another Don Murphy rant...

General concensus: Post on Murphy's board - I wanna see what people there think of it (not that it's actual intelligent 'thought'). And how long before he deletes it.

He only seems to delete things that he says that really go too far and draw the attention of folks that might be involved with his paycheck at some point. The same paycheck he uses to empty all major US All-you-can-eat buffets. Were something like this actually posted he'd just make a nationality comment of less than savory flavors, to which those there that are ass-kissers (and despite what some may say on websites other than Murphy's, the abundance of posters with sigs claiming they are indeed Murphy's "biggest ass kisser" and the like prove they are there regardless) will say what a great job he did in telling that stupid hating person off.

So, now we've decided 'post it', there's also been a few posters trying to defend Murphy to the IDW board. How do we feel about the rot spreading?
And should the toonies be allowed to pollute the comic sites? Then again, DW was more based on the cartoons than anything else.

Well thanks, though the main credit goes to JohnCleese, Chapman,Palin and the rest of the gang, Ididn't have to alter much of the script,they nailed Murphy correctly..

I share BF's thoughts about posting it on MUrphy's board, besides,Istill can't create an username there. I will post this on SEibertron and TFW2005, though.

But anyone who can log on toMurphy's board, feel free to post a link to here...

Though again, the people there are soo predictable, I already know what their reaction will be...

TransFans is a quiet little place that, despite us arsin' each other, is a respectable place for discussions on TFs and whatnot. Probably the main reason we manage to stay under the radar of attacks and negative comments when crap pops up elsewhere, and as well the reason we still have great interviews here and get notice (or at least starting to, hi Ryall!, Hire me!) from those officially involved with the fandom's merchandise.

Comments on how someone is handling things is one thing, purposely starting a feud that won't accomplish anything between two boards is unnecessary.

Transfans is here as a reasource for alot of people, for Transfans to remain responsible to its users getting involved in futile 'board war' would undermine what Transfans is here for.

To play Devil's Advocate for a second:

How exactly is Transfans a "resource"? Aside from the comics section, the cartoon section, toy section, and downloads section are all rather sparse when compared to other sites. And the comics section is great, but still has some holes

I agree more with SC, that Transfans is a nice, hidden little enclave where many may visit, but only a select perverted few stay. We are off the beaten path, and it's preferable for us to stay that way if we want to keep our sense of community.

well we are a reasource in as much for ppl as we are here for TF archives knowledge.

As much as I think its ok to take the mick out of Don and Co im not sure how much good it does us to invade and actually create a proper issue with the guy.

I dont like alot of ppl in my local pub, I very rarely say it to thier face - it normally ends in tears (albeit them)

Yeah, there's a difference between thinking someone is a **** and generally letting the good humour of the environment endure and actually going over and starting hostilities over their being a ****. Esp. if starting hostilities is going to achieve in all probability nothing.

I can see that there's a need for resposibility here, show yourself as someone who acctually tries to hold to your standards and ideals, but I also am immature, and would like some of BB Shockwaves induced comedy..so, should BB post or should he not post...

I would also like to point out that I'm not ever going to put my foot down in Murphys board,

let others do the dirty-work of starting the war, I'm more of a home-front kinda guy.

Rob in the end is his own man, and he was stepping in AFAIK to my defence after I tried to make a serious complaint to Murphy about his attitude.

BB shockwave should do entirely what he feels is right imo, which for a start would mean ignoring you

As would inciting others to actupon your behalf, or on the assumption that they are acing on behalf of Transfans.net.

As a guideline, noone acts on behalf of Transfans.net without the express permission of the administration of Transfans.net, and even that is not given without detailed discussion about why such an action needs to be undertaken.

As for Transfans being off of the beaten path, this was the first TF site I found when I first got online. I decided to stay 'cos I was too lazy to look further.
And I suppose that if we start massing at the Murphy board to cause trouble, we'll just have them coming here to do the same. I like the peaceful (and occasionally deviant) nature of here, so let's be nice.
