Still too early to judge, though I'm still intruiged. Good to see him talking to the fans, as long as it doesn't turn into another Don Murphy type love-in there.

Maybe he should drop by here? He can quote from Shaun of the Dead after all...

I...suppose that some of those things he said was sorta interesting, except that he did some small pimping of EJ Su, who is still garbage as far as I know..

On the other hand he said they had other TF-artists in up for this, hard to tell if that would be good or bad. We all know the standards are high.

And sorry, I fail to see the reason to get amped up about a new continuity, Furman or no Furman. What exactly would the basic premises be?

I get the feeling that the TF have been active for long, as he has said: "Who the TF are, and what they have been doing on our planet", don't say he implies that they have all been active since the pyramids,

and NOT been detected by humans?? Yeah, right. It's just something magic about the year 1984 AD.

Could mean something different I suppose...JUST USE MOST OF MARVEL CONTINUITY! It's not hard..It's been done with G.I Joe.

First of all, what'd be wrong with a little Don Murphy-style love-in? I could use some of that...

(I was gonna lead with "can I get any of you c*nts a drink?" and quote Shaun of the Dead, like spiderfrommars mentioned, but I thought that might be bad form... instead, I'll just mention that that line DOES appear uncensored in SHAUN #1 next month. But enough non-TF plugs)

True, true... I've just been inundated with e-mails, media requests, and phone calls since this word came out, in addition to the job itself. So I'm trying to spread it around, just haven't had much time of late. But I'm a-trying.

By the way, I'M really Bob Budiansky. AND Aaron Archer, too.

Well, I'll check it out, but I say we all have reason to be pessimistical.

I promise not to point out that you're inventing words if you promise to give us a chance... you're off on a few things, Predabot. I can't reveal everything all at once--it's only May, after all, and this doesn't all even begin until October.

I'm sorry if I came out unclear, it's a thing that I happen to do time to time. Clarification: I believe that the fan-hood should excercise some mild restraint here, since a lot of the DW and Devils Due stuff was medioker, and the fact that the art that we've seen, to some of the people in the community isn't really that impressive. (I'm one of them) Hence I think you'll forgive me for being somewhat cautios?

I'll most likely check out issue #0 since I love almost everything about Trans-formers, (except a few unmentionable things...

) hence why "I'll check it out". I'd give you IDW people even more of a shot if that snippet of info I've seen mentioned, that Egmont would be involved in this for some parts of Europe means that it'll probably be published in my home-country of sweden. paying the big buck for cross-atlantic shipment hurts the meager wallet nearly inmeasurably.

Propably not going to happen, at least for a while. NTFA's webamster had written to Egmont about the situation.

I received a reply from Egmont a while ago, by the way. They don't have any deals with Hasbro today and don't have any discussions with them either. So don't expect any Nordic versions of the Transformers comics. Not yet anyway - it's actually way too early to consider it, but obviously I had to check since the press release mentioned them.

My personal quess would be that publishing the movie special (there's going to be one or I'm Mickey Mouse) is possible, but not much else. The latest try had really bad sales figures around here.

Yes. But only in bigger cities and the imported prices are rather high, but I quess that's the same in UK. If I remember correct I paid 4.80 euros for one Dreamwave's comic. NTFA store has cheaper prices, but postage makes the price about the same, unless you buy in bigger, lots like I do.

The Finnish version that included two US issues cost 4.25 euros, available all over the couintry in normal shops. Quess, which I'd prefer?
