...from Furman no less.
At the Comics Expo in Bristol this weekend, Simon Furman confirmed that;
a) The TF comic license had been picked up by a company,
b) He couldn't tell us which company because they're going to do a press release, and
c) He will be involved in a writing capacity.

Got this from a chap on seibs who linked to the allspark thread.
Press release before Auto Assembly plz!

I think I wish I had an ish in my grubby hands right now.
And I'd be surprised if it's still DD.

I'm praying that its not Devil's Due as they have already buried Voltron and, as I understand it, are ready to screw with G.I.Joe.

I don't know whether to be happy or worried...
I was happy the last two times it came back. Worried might cause trouble for my blood pressure. I think I'll just be apathetic.
Eh... s'okay.

It might be Dark Horse.
Or Avatar; they could let Ellis write it.

Rumour I'd say is fairly reliable has it that it isn't DD...

You've worked recently with Devil's Due on Defex—if Devil's Due are successful in getting the Transformers license, would you be interested in writing a Transformers comic for them?
Someone else I believe got the license and I'd love to work with them.

I'm not feeling quite as enthusiastic...
IDW who??
Massmarket is cool tho, I suppose. And Furmans pretty much on board apparently, but still...
In addition to the pending IDW arrangement, TRANSFORMERS will be available in Readers Digest hard books and chapter books, as well as a series of Dorling Kindersley children’s books available in the United States. Fans in Europe can enjoy TRANSFORMERS books from Egmont, Red Bird, Titan, Edigamma and Panini.
Please say swedish publication, please say swedish publication, please say swedish publication..

Seeing as they seem to be capable of dealing with other licensed properties, they might be a good choice after all. Naturally, it all depends on who they get to work on it. Furman's good choice for starters.

Involved with CSI and 24. That right there sits nicely with me.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

I've seen their metal gear solid comics in the shop in Canters, and the artwork was very impressive. Hopefully if they acquire simon as writer we will be in for some good stories if nothing else.

About mid-page Mr. Murphy starts weighing in on IDW. Rather blunt opinion, no?

I don't understand what he's on about, to tell you the truth. What, they published a comic book? So what?
[edit] I read further down to try and glean some more infomation but was put off by all the wholly unnecessary arse-licking Don was receiving...

Blunt and pointless:

Hey guys do we care? I think not.
Ofcourse his forum whores happily agree with him.
