Thanks, that's more then enough covers for now.

I've also made a new small movie about the smelting pool and Scrounge's
death.

this movie is in the same format as the finalized movie.

Repeat Performances

Post by Terome » Wed May 11, 2005 2:51 pm

For the sake of all that is gravy and good, don't forget Warrior School and Repeat Performances! They are easily the height of the US run, have great art and feature Ratchet, who will most likely be in the movie due to some 9/11 madness I don't quite understand.

me either - the doctor as an ambulance thing is a great example of the TF concept. Why does 'no one' who has a say not want to see this?

Nuts!

This will ofcourse turn the movie into one big flop and everybody will think that all of TF is kiddy.

Natch.

I'm dreading it. Especially one friend of mine in particular. He's going to watch the first five ****** minutes of the flick, stop, then the next time he sees me... ....oh god, I want to cry. I'm hearing every word right now. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! :x

Grimlock's not in the first movie...

It'd be like leaving Wolverine out of the first X-men movie...

DM is an idiot.

Though Ihope Grimmy is leading the resistance onCybertron against Shockwave -something we haven't seen yet...

I would have left Wolverine out of the first X-Men movie.

I don't give a damn if he's the "most identifiable" of them (only because he's shoved down our throats... go to a comic shop and pick up any current X-Men title, I bet Wolverine is in it), he wasn't one of the originals therefore I wouldnae put him in it!

Similarly, I would save the Dinobots for a second TF film. Much as they were saved for the second comic arc.

Though I'm having serious doubts about wanting to see the first one, now, after the way Murphy's been behaving towards certain people. Racist ****.

Exactly, you don't need (or even really want) Grimmers and co for the first movie, I reckon. Esp if there is sequel potential.
I luvs 'em, but ya don't really need 'em.

...what's the goss on the Don Murphy racist thing?

Nevermore (TFA's newsbod) sent him an email explaining potential flaws in the whole cartoon highlights reel thing and suggesting other ways of going about it.

Murphy sent him an insulting reply, then started on his board about how some nutter had sent him this email. Somebody pointed him onto Nev's site, Murphy started poking fun at the way he looks and also making Nazi jokes (typical xenophobic crap about enforcing their own views on us blah blah), to the typical cheerleading you'd expect. Nevermore posted over there explaining the position and expressing unhappiness about Murphy's lack of netiquette. Murphy responded by saying he doesn't know what netiquette means, it's not English, what does it mean? "Ve hav vays ov making you talk, ja?"

So he's an ass, an idiot (netiquette is in most of the online dictionaries) and a racist.

Fun.

I'mwith you on this, but seriously... if the first movie sucks, we might never see the Dinobots again (poor Grims never made it to the energon toon too).

Plus, giant transforming T-Rex with an attitude= high ratings. Even Murphy should know this.
Though I'm having serious doubts about wanting to see the first one, now, after the way Murphy's been behaving towards certain people. Racist ****.
Oh man! I heard this only now... Not only is Murphy a b***stard, now I officially give up any hope that cartoon elements will be in the movie.

OK guys, start saving money sowe can hire Furman for a G1 series... :D

K, that's it. I'm not watching the movie at the Cinema on principle- I will purposely download a pirate copy so not a penny goes to that ******* s***head.

I might make multiple copies in fact so none of my friends go also.

The thread on Murphy's board is like a gazillion pages long and trying to get through it all scares me.

Edited highlights, with links to the relevant parts are here: http://www.tfarchive.com/community/show ... adid=30474

Yeah, I tried reading that thread but gave up after like the third page of serious discussion about cyber-stalking some guy, screen-names I've seen banned at at least 2 boards nipping my head with their own special brand of inanity and bad, bad jokes.

As well as the highlights at the archive, the reactions of people at 2005 are notable.
It's not very nice, is it.

Heh. Skip to the end. Don read the 2005 thread about it.

It's starts around page 31 (if you're using 15 post per page option) when Murphy mentions e-mail he got. Then there are flames and something about people from other boards (I think this one was specifically mentioned) who bitch about the movie there instead of coming to Murphy's one and help to contribute.

And this is great:
It's not really that suprising how many people come to this board and get offended because they come from other boards where they aren't used to dealing with adult thoughts and opinions or how they are expressed.

Oh yes, according to the posters there they are the ones who really know what its all about and are flying the flag for what the movie should really be about.

Besides it's Don's board, so he can be as obnoxious as he likes and nobody should consider this in any way poor behaviour.

Were we mentioned? I know Tfans was but that's something seperate I think... we seem to scoot under most people's radar for some reason.
