Well the sad fact is that they DIDN'T have many compelling characters, and their stories were often piss-poor as well. Seven was a breath of fresh air on a show where the only one who seemed even remotely likeable was the hologram. Maybe Tuvok.veritech wrote:I thought that Seven of Nine was a cheap way to save Star Trek: Voyager, you know? Its like, well, we can't tell good stories and have compelling characterization, so we will just throw in a hot babe in a skintight cat suit to save the show. I don't know what is worse, the fact that Paramount went for it or the fact that it really did save the show!
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Yeah, If he got that worked up over transformers comics, I wonder what happened when the Bad Girl craze of the mid-1990's started???jboyler wrote:If Circuit Breaker was the best you could do you were reading the wrong comics...Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:CB was my 'night-time' material as a child, later in life it was seven of nine...

judging by this topic i think it more helped a lot of us remain there indefinitely.veritech wrote: But it is interesting how women are portrayed in modern comics. Especially in the aforementioned 'Bad Girl' comics craze. I'm sure that trend helped alot of guys through puberty, huh?
Mmm... Psylocke.

My fault. Blame me - I shouldn't have joined this topic. It always happens.veritech wrote:wow! who knew a conversation on the so-called 'Neo Knights' could degenerate so quickly.
Anyway, most people don't remember much of the other, more limited, Neo Knights, so surely the answer to this topic should be Circuit Breaker by default. She's certainly had the most mentions in this topic.

Psylocke, Rogue, the cast of Gen 13, the list goes on and on . . . .Best First wrote:judging by this topic i think it more helped a lot of us remain there indefinitely.veritech wrote: But it is interesting how women are portrayed in modern comics. Psylocke was probably the most gratuitous in the x-men, however. Her character was totally changed in order to fit the mold of the current trend.

Actually, I didn't count, though excluding stuff that turns up in quotes, Thunderpunch is currently ahead of the other one who I shan't actually mention. At least in terms of getting his name used.

Do you mean Circuit Breaker? You did mean Circuit Breaker, right? Yeah, Circuit Breaker - that's her. Isn't Circuit Breaker in the lead anymore? Someone else is in front of Circuit Breaker? Beating Circuit Breaker? That's a real pity (for Circuit Breaker), she - by which I mean Circuit Breaker - should have her name the most. Circuit Breaker should be mentioned far more than the one that isn't Circuit Breaker. I think we should ALL mention Circuit Breaker, don't you? Just try saying Circuit Breaker. Circuit Breaker. See? Saying Circuit Breaker feels good. Circuit Breaker. OOO! Gives me goosebumps each time I say Circuit Breaker. Circuit Breaker. Circuit Breaker! CIRCUIT BREAKER!!!
Circuit Breaker...

You saw that CB kitbash someone made? (drools)
Anyway, she was sometimes annoying in that "Shut up Barnett, I hate robots and even if they save my life for the tenth time will I change my mind" way....
But Andy Wildman did know how to draw her... Rrrrrr. (Pity he drew Scorponok without a head in scorpion mode...)
About Blackrock, what do G and B actually stand for?

"I've come to believe you are working for the enemy, Vervain. There is no other explanation... for your idiocy." (General Woundwort)
Well, the Next Generation had one of those from the very beginning! Its like, well, we can't tell good stories and have compelling characterization, so we will just throw in a hot babe in a skintight cat suit to save the show.
Although I hesitate to call Marina Sirtis a hot babe, actresses weren't as good looking in the 80's
I actually thought Troi's purply-pastel thing looked awful, and it was great when they finally gave her a real uniform in the last season or two.
