What TF moments spring to mind that put a lump in your throat, a tear in your eye or just made you cry like a little girl?
Are there any?

YES!!! That was the bomb, as far as sadness goes. I don't really see how Scorponok and Oppy could be considered "old friends", but it added to the emotional weight, so what the hell, right?bobaprime85 wrote:"Huuuu... Puh-Prime? Did... Did... kuuuu... I do... good?"
""Yes, old friend. You did good."
Or what about when Ratchet/Megatron holds the gun to its head and says "kill me"?

No Impys death is orginal...
"Ack...you...always...were...a...willy...old...buzzard..."
If TF had hearts, Xarrons just broke!
The way he struggles to over come his grief, his shock at seeing his old friend dying, know that there is no way to save him.
amazing...
Freaking classic. I think that moment cemented TF to me for life.

It's the one which didn't make it onto DVD.BB Shockwave wrote:What was Dark Awakening's original ending? Never heard about it...
When Dark Awakening was first aired as one of the first episodes after Five Faces of Darkness, it ended with Prime flying his flagship into the minefield. Explosion was shown. Then we heard Rodimus voice saying: "So long, Prime" and Prime's silhouette showed up.
At the end of Season 3, a week(?) before The Return of Optimus Prime, Dark Awakening was aired again. This time, when Prime's flagship was about to reach the minefield and explode (or exactly in the moment of the explosion, I'm not sure), screen freezes and voice-over says something like: "Is this the end of Optimus Prime? Find out next week". They could even named the episode's title, which would be a frickin' spoiler.
Anyway, that's the way it went, if my memory serves me right.

Huh... On my US DVD, it had Dark Awakening after "Five Faces", and it showed the ship explode and Prime's sillouhette, but it had the narrator come on and give his spiel about the return of Prime...Ozz wrote:It's the one which didn't make it onto DVD.BB Shockwave wrote:What was Dark Awakening's original ending? What a bunch of weirdos...
In Quintessonian: 4% probability of continuity, 100% probability of stupidity.
Scorpy copping it.
Not the bit when he actually snuffs it (although Rattrap's behaviour and the 'shutting down' sound tend to get me started), but the bit after Dinobot dies when the proto-human bloke kills the snake with the axe and then yells and lifts it up and the camera whizzes up above the planet and a star flashes.....jesus, Dinobot ******* rocked hard.
<sniffs>
That's probably it...most of the other normally mentioned bits generate more 'shock/whoa that was amazing' reactions to me than sadness.
Although one bit I find genuinely sad (but not in a sniffles sort of way) is that bit in Space Pirates where Magnus offers Soundwave his hand, and Soundwave just kinda looks like all his insides have just crapped out of his arse and then turns away with an 'it would never work' type comment. That bit always strikes me as deeply sad and puts a gloom on me fizzog, so it does.

UK issue 332 and US G2 issue 12, for obvious reasons...

"Will the Autbots survive? Will Optimus Prime return? Will Rodimus throw away the matrix... again? Can Ultra Magnus deal with it? What will Springer say when he finds out Arcee is in love with Perceptor?"
"Find out in the world-shattering finale nex week! Don't miss it!"
Hmm, that sounded pretty much like DW's adverts...
Good to know I'm not the only one who chokes a tear when reading that part...Kingmob wrote: Although one bit I find genuinely sad (but not in a sniffles sort of way) is that bit in Space Pirates where Magnus offers Soundwave his hand, and Soundwave just kinda looks like all his insides have just crapped out of his arse and then turns away with an 'it would never work' type comment. "I've come to believe you are working for the enemy, Vervain. There is no other explanation... for your idiocy." (General Woundwort)
When I read this as a little kid, this whole issue blew my mind. That's probably the most vivid Transformers image that I remember.... Optimus holding Scorponok, with his face melting off. I always thought it looked like warm cheese.Shanti418 wrote:YES!!! That was the bomb, as far as sadness goes. Re-reading it again, at age 23, it still gave me shivers.

I remember getting a few hairs raised on the back of my neck throughout BM, but more so at the beginning of the series where BlackArachnia had the visions of Silverbolt and she remembered being with him. Uh, yeah, something in my eye...
