First, the writer is gone. :eyebrow: Not that I would miss the guy who wrote Catwoman (and is propably responsible for the origin change, which would have already ruined the movie).

Second, the movie will be delayed because of this. 2006 November, for now.

What more to say then to FURMAN FOR SCRIPTWRITER!!!! :D

Is changing writer(s) after a first draft submission a negative indicator for this movie? I'm aware that scripts go through multiple re-drafts, but I'm not sure whether they are done by the same writer(s) usually.

Do movie release dates usually slip? I'd imagine so, and I guess this will eventually slip into a spring/summer 2007 release.

I think Furman is much better off in his current role as consultant. If the movie is 'da bomb' then he shares in that success, and if the movie is a bomb then he avoids the majority flak directed towards the writers/directors.

.

Aside from all those points, I don't have a feeling of confidence for this project at the moment. Maybe that has something to do with lurking over at the DonMurphy.net forums.

I see nothing unusual. It's common these days for scripts to go through several rewrites and drafts. And that original release date was never set in stone. Its all very early days.

It's nothing compared to the fiasco that is preproduction on Bond 21.

with today's technology for making movie is so advance they should be crapping out a new one every couple of months. Although I think they should take their time and make tf Movie right! :!:
