Option three!!! ;)

Starscream with an Underbase power could kill half dozen of Autobots with a wave of a hand.

Sunstorm could, erm, annoy you to death?

Starscream it is.

The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Sunstorm would have to go and wait until Starscream had destroyed a few easrth cities in the exact same order that he had confidently announced he would destroy them a few hours earlier.

Argh. Underbase sucks so much.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Yes, but what does that have to do with two sad plot devices destroying each other?

Underbase per say isn't a bad concept. But it's execution could have been better, it's still one of my favorite Marvel TF stories tho. :) And, yes, he bloody would have destroyed those cities, believe me. He had the power, and was high on it.

Then why didn't he? After he'd stomped on all the Transformers who stood against him, it should have been child's play.

*sigh*

Underbase + Logic = Headache

He'd still smack down Sunstorm, though. :)

unless it turned out Sunstorm had an organic core or something... *shudder* Starscream wins without a doubt.

I thought the Underbase Saga was awesome as a kid. Looking back on it, a lot of things going on at the time were quite a bit silly: Ratbat as Decep leader, Skullgrin as movie star, tropical island as space ship, etc.

But seriously though, what Budiansky story arc would you prefer over Underbase?

I like Ratbat as leader, and there are some nice moments there (Cold War, Totalled) but ultimately the Underbase finale is disappointing. Hey, there's the Throttlebots again, aw, they're dead. There go the Dinobots. And Blaster, and Omega, and the Seacons, and Thundercracker and Skywarp...Dammit...

As yuck as that was, it was nowhere near as bad as Marvel's guy in the blonde mask, and tight black tee, with gun mowing down the continuity's populace that no longer serves a purpose. Wish I could recall that "character's" name.

Blonde mask?

Funny how the organics bit of the Underbase saga almost mirrors Rebirth, isn't it? I mean, humans and other animals have electrical brain activity... but apparently being organic protects you from all sorts of stuff...

It's one of his better stories, but he's written better arcs. The Prime/Shockwave/Creation matrix saga and the Return to Cybertron arc in particular.

Duly noted. And thanks Osku. Honestly though, oops. When I posted that I thought I was in that 'when did UK peak' topic for some odd reason.
Best First wrote:i think he was called Scourge.
Yeah, that sounds familiar. I knew it started with an 's'.
Denyer wrote:Blonde mask?
Mmhmm. Very Mission Impossiblesque. Mysterious guy just shows up at times with either a pistol or tommy gun, guns down a character Marvel no longer considers useful, then on to the next random issue where it happens to someone else. Funny how villians & heroes can survive anything until some guy wearing a mask that makes him look like a male model pops in, fires, and heads out. I think there were a couple of times it was a woman though.
