Maximo & Megatron

Well, since all's quiet for the moment in the way of new shtuff, I wanted to ask another Q. Just for kicks. What's your particular theory, or otherwise some theory you know of, on the connection of Maximo and Megatron. Non-canon of course since there's only so much you can squeeze from a single page of a character's appearance & dialogue. I'm just interested since, well, because it's a slow day at work and I'm bored quite frankly. *He says as a higher up walks up from behind with a ton of paperwork*

Maximo is Megatron's sister's brother's cousin's uncle's best friend's former roomate.

I always took it as Megatron is his "son" just like how all other Transformers are the "children" of Primus.

Speaking of, anyone got a link to "Alignment"? How can I read this thing?

I don't think that Megatron is Liege Maximo's direct son, I think that Liege Maximo is his grandfather or something like that.

So, it's possible that Megatron is one of the older Transformers that came forth through biomorphic reproduction.

True, sadly. I understand that some people still refuse to believe it was written by Furman. The sillies.

I think LM spawned Megatron, planted his 'evil' in him and then sent him to Cybertron to wreak havoc and generally weed out the bad bots, who will eventually leave Cybertron and join the LM. Maybe he even had his hands in making OP and Megs 'die' in the Ark crash, maybe he thought Megs has outlived his usefullness.

It would be funny, Megs realising his civil war and all his ideas of conquest were simply the tools of some higher beings schemes. He would feel like Prime did after encountering Jhiaxus.

I take the 'offspring' remark quite literally. Maximo spawned Megatron, though obviously Megs doesn't know this. And Megs is the ultimate 'con in many ways. Also I take from the tone of the Leige's words that he felt, in time, Megs might come round to his way of thinking, which would make him an even more unstoppable force.

No, it's quite obvious that Liege Maximo is the counter-part to the Prime. And subsequently whenever Maximo splits his bio-formed sub-units, or whatever you should call it, also gets properties similar to him.

Anti-Prime, that is most likely why Megs is the only con that can measure up to the Prime, and why he and Optimus is so much counterparts to each other.

And in the War Within story Megs can navigate as well as Prime can in the living sub-levels of Cybertron, further cementing the idea that he's connected to it too. But not in the same way as Prime. ( I know, diff continuity, but it was still written by Furman)

On topic - it doens't neccs follow that the Leige Maximo directly spawned Megs - it may be that he was a few descendants down the line.

Also, if budding dictates disposition - does that explian the division of the rcaes? Are all Autobots descended fronm the firts Prime, all Deceps from Maximo - not sure i like that idea...
