Exactly what I was thinking.Legion wrote:hmmm... two high points, both worthy of metioning in order to sell the tpb....Best First wrote:Plus: the breathtaking debut of the Micromasters (now stars of their own hit Dreamwave miniseries) and a wrestling smackdown between man and robot you’ll have to see to believe!
1. Not breathtaking
2. Not a hit DW miniseries
3. You don't have to see it to believe it
But what do they mean by "rare TF adventures?"

Re: UK: New Titan Press Release
Am I to believe that Titan commisioned all these graphical geniuses to do TransFormers art? If so: Keeeeeewwlll!!!! I do wonder, do you think there'll be any little tidbits on the net? I'd love to know what a John Byrne Transformer looks like.Best First wrote: € Gallery features exclusive Transformers artwork by Bryan Hitch, Alan Davis, Dave Gibbons, Phil Jiminez, John Byrne, Ron Garney, Howard Chaykin and many more besides!

Re: UK: New Titan Press Release
Bless 'em. They're trying to make it sound exciting, but this book is a genuine contender for worst Titan reprint.
However, it has to be said that Titan have done a fantastic job with the reprints of the US stuff. Who would have thought a few years ago that the entire US run (1984 to 1994) would see the light of day again?
And the UK reprints have been a little erratic, but having the likes of Target 2006 in a single volume would have been unthinkable once upon a time.

The UK black and white stories. It's time to rediscover some lost gems.Shanti418 wrote:

The John Byrne pic is the Ltd Ed cover to Dark Designs.
You can see it here: http://www.titanbooks.com/transformers.html# by scrolling down to near the bottom.
I think you could probably still find the pencils on his site/forum/devil's pulpit. I think one of his Victims posted it in the art thread they have there.

Perhaps but that does not automatically imply that his style pleases everyone, (me for example) or that he is the greatest TF-artist that's ever lived, something wich I obviously should not need to point out.Denyer wrote:Yaniger's a damn sight better than most of the artists who've worked on Marvel TF comics...
Thank you KingMob, I thought it was that pic. Ah, nice clean lines. Pretty good. I may have to track down those black and white lines for some more coloring fodder wich I'm never going to be able to complete.

Perhaps, but that doesn't automatically imply that an empirical and/or objective, quantitative "greatest TF artist who's ever lived" could exist, which I obviously should not need to point out.Predabot wrote:Perhaps but that does not automatically imply that his style pleases everyone, (me for example) or that he is the greatest TF-artist that's ever lived, something wich I obviously should not need to point out.
It's being a pedantic day.
