Thetransformers.net (by means of the Archive, puttup!) are reporting that DD have the TF licence. Sounds like good news, if they can persuade the Furm to say on...?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

SO! 'Tis true. (Hmm..almost, not confirmed officially yet.) Well, they did state that they wished to hire the staff from the old Dreamwave + Some peeps from DreamEngine I believe, to do it. If all goes right it'll be business back as ussual pretty soon. Or will it? Maybe if things don't pan out some sort of super-petition might be in order?

The Devil's Due offices are about 3 blocks from my friend's apartment. If they start screwing **** up, I can yell at them after work!
(I won't, but it's great knowing I could if I were so inclined!)

No more than Dreamwave had the GI Joe license.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:dont DD already have a bit of the TF license then?
"Exclusive License to produce TF comics " is different from "License to produce TF comics" is different from "negotiated deal with another license-holder to produce simultaneous crossovers"

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

BURN HIM!
OH! Um. Well. There's always guys with torches in mobs. How else would they see what they're jabbing at? Everyone wants to fork him, well, so to speak. Someone has to be charged with a task of carrying a torch.
Jackass.

Imagine a bunch of DD execs saying, "Well, you made a shee-itty comic for a few years and ran your company into the ground, so we're going to let you do it again, on our nickel this time." Where's the logic in that?
And I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but why does everyone want to see more Furman comics? Why not try to bring on another established author so we can see some new styles?

Furman, no Furman. Makes no significant difference to me honestly. Just no info-dump-lover writer and I'm happy.

No, because it might be a bit more like this: "WoW! Some of you guys are just amazing at drawing giant robots! Much better then some of the hacks that we've got!"jboyler wrote: Umm... why?

You must be psychic. And I know I'm going to get flamed for this
Oh, maybe a few things called the War Within and Transformers Energon/Cybertron? (I'd love to see what Furman can do with Vector Prime.)but why does everyone want to see more Furman comics?
I'd love that too, except they better be both commited and good at it, {coff*Marv Wolfman*coff} cause otherwise we have seen from time to time that those TF-comics turn out sh*tty. Let's finish the good stuff first eh?Why not try to bring on another established author so we can see some new styles?

Sheer Brillance! The only good thing Pat Lee did, kill Dreamwave before Chris had the chance to ruin an already messed up continuality.Shanti418 wrote:They should definetly hire someone else for G1. God, I'd love to see the expression on Chris's face right now. Hired as writer and didn't even get to pen a single issue.

I hate to throw stones an all, but surely he did that with G1 Volume 1?Manchester Devil wrote:Sheer Brillance! I strongly suspect he had them written months ago, ready to go.Shanti418 wrote:But if they want to finish WW, they have to have Furman.
If you can get your hands on Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Mike Mignola or Frank Miller, count me in. Otherwise I'd suggest leaving it to someone with practise and fan recognition (who hasn't offended large parts of the buying audience, such as Pat Lee.)jboyler wrote:why does everyone want to see more Furman comics? Now is not a great time to be significantly playing with the mix—however much I'd like them to—Dreamwave were managing to sell comics; they were just **** at business. Whether that involved embezzlement or something more innocent and out of their hands, we don't know—but the sales revenue was going somewhere.
