It has its flaws, some painful, but it's okay... I think.

If only I had the money to do it. Or a REALLY powerful PC. Perhaps all we Transfans should get together and do it ourselves. At least someone should try reanimating a short scene in CGI to see how it would turn out.

I can assure you alot of us do - like me.

Where can I see such things? I'm intrigued, excited, nervous and - er... damp. If there's so many TF 3D modeller/animators out there, why not allocate shots to loads of people and then edit it all together? We need not wait for Hollywood to get it's arse in gear! They can all use the same set of models for continuity reasons too. Why hasn't this happened yet?
If anyone's interested, I started a new topic to investigate a CGI remake further. Check it out.

theres alot of it about - Problem is, making a single model, to hollywood standard could take a week of solid work. if your good. and fast!

Artists dont like to give away thier files they have slaved over either, its also a complex procedure to convert formats, and re-apply textures.

Not to mention you then decent Animators, voice actors, lighting experts.

and when thats done, a 1 hour animation is gonna require alot of render time. so your going to want a mainframe of at least 20 computers to render to.

once thats done, bring in your compoisitors to layer in effects and meld all your seperate elements together.

CGI on a decent level is horribly complex and takes alot of time. - ive been working on my own stuff for about 2 years now... :p
