Or whatever it is, aside from an abrupt shift in the story. I thought now would be a good time to test the waters in regard to the new 'continuation'. Given the debacle that was the first issues of Energon, I can't say I'm looking forward to this, even if Furman was given prior warning.
Gah, the poor guy must be under more stress than Budiansky back in the day.

It can't be easy for him, thats for sure.
I have high hopes for the Energon ending story arc. After that, I'm feeling positive. With a lot more time to plan it, I think the transition shouldn't be too painful.
The nice thing is that they don't keep going back and starting from issue 1. We have quite a little saga in our hands now.

Personally I'm dreading it, and feeling really sorry for Furman.
Furman wants to tell a story but ends up having to use the first 6 issues to set up the new continuity, and then using the last 4-5 to end a saga and tie into the new continuity. That meant that out of Energon's 18 issues, 6 issues are not directly tied to introducing or ending the overall story arc. That bugs me, especially given what we lose as a result, such as the Minicons. Despite dreading a possible TF Pokemon fiasco, the Minicons were the best thing to happen to TF's since G2, imho.
That being said, I just hope that Cybertron doesn't result in another 4 issue arc that has us running around for a Deus ex Machina reason for Prime to upgrade, and more importantly have Megatron out of commission for 10 issues.
But I have faith.
