Do you think DW TF titles will survive without Brad Mick/Adam Patyk?

Well, I'm going to start buying them now, so yes...

So, without MicKDonough and Ptyk, what do ya think will happen? Can they survive? I think personally that we should inundate DW with emails letting them know that some people are happy to see those two bastards gone... and we think Furman should write everything from now on.

Blatantly option 4.

I am disappointed by all the hoo-ha. Not only will their departure mark a drastic decline in the comedy value of DW, it also means my inspired and suddenly ubiquitous "Mad Brick" line is now nearly worthless. :(
Grrr. Argh.

Not for comparitive purposes...

And Pat Lee is back on sequential art duties for a TF book. Should be enough comedy value in that to keep everyone going for a while...

Anyways, the poll. Uh, C.
Coz it's only the books written by him that interest me now.

You left out the option "No, because they just don't have the financial backing to survive".

That's what I would vote.

I looked a little into the monetary sales performance of DW's comics over the past three months:

August: $284,000 from three TF titles, three non-TF titles and one TPB
September: $407,400 from four TF titles, one non-TF title and one TPB
October: $180,800 from two TF titles and one TPB

These are of course approximations based on sales, but it would appear that financially, though individual titles may sell a little less each month, with a TPB released each month it more than makes up for much of this loss in individual issue sales.

With these kinds of numbers each month, DW should survive if they do exactly what they seem to be doing-laying off their employees and downsizing.

And once they run out of material to TPB? Reprints?

Unless Hasbro gets ahold of it.. then it will just be repaints renamed.

Apparently, October was a terrible month for comics across the board - although 'manga-ish' publishers were supposed to have bucked the trend for terrible sales figures during that month.
