I don't hold this rumor in very high regard, (did not see any evidence to suggest otherwise) firstly Hasbro probably has a ton of stuff they can license, secondly, a little bit early to give the license away again isn't it? And for the clock: I love what Dreamwave has done with Energon and War Within, so this better not be anything than utter dogs-bollocks! (dogs-bollocks is the negative sence of bollocks right?)

You're not going to believe what the rumor is regarding the Hasbro licence Devils Due has snagged.
My bro thinks heard the rumor is its.......drum roll........GOBOTS!!!!
Could this be true? If so, DW is really getting clobbered. I mean, first the whole insider crap, and now to and possible injury to insult, Devil's Due snags the licence for those other "transformers".
All rumor from my brother, who isn't anyone with inside info.

Yeah, what OPR said. Gobots got absorbed into the Transformer line a couple of years ago.
I think it's Dungeons and Dragons. I went to Hasbro's site and looked at their 'BRANDS' drop-down menu, D+D is on it. I never knew Hasbro were involved with D+D. Never been into D+D. Played the Baldur's Gate PC games, but they just use the ruleset rather than the gameworld, right?
Such a comic doesn't interest me anyway.

Little known fact: they ARE involved in S+M though. Toy company indeedKingMob wrote:Yeah, what OPR said. Gobots got absorbed into the Transformer line a couple of years ago.

I think they brought up TSR, the company that invented D&D, some years ago.KingMob wrote:Yeah, what OPR said. Gobots got absorbed into the Transformer line a couple of years ago.

Thats a pretty big catch for them if they did in fact get D & D because there are a ton of fantasy fans out there who would probably get it.
DW is so damn incompetent when it comes to acquiring meaningful licences. They should realize they can't survive on TF alone and need to acquire some already well known licences to stay afloat. Who in the general public knows Warlands or Devil's May Cry? Not many, I would venture.
Devil's Due is doing a good job in maintaining their survival in a very harsh comic enviroment where the Big Two dominate.
DW will be swallowed up by one of them, IMO. Which may not be a bad thing.

Devil May Cry is very recognizeable due to the bad ass nature of Dantecommander shockwav wrote:Who in the general public knows Warlands or Devil's May Cry? Not many, I would venture.
