Why isn't Pat Lee on that list? He wrote Volume 1 right?

See the thing that pains me is that Chris did a solid job on Armada 1 and 2, so he's got the potential. It's a shame Volume 1 will always cover that tho. :(

Course there's Armada #3...

Gotta be Sarrachini, sure he has potential, but the wounds of G1 Vol1 will take a loong time to heal.

I have so much sympathy for Bob I couldn't vote for him. I voted for Dan Abnett, because he was involved with Death's Head II! all such insurgents much die...

i'm going for Sarracini.
he had a completely blank slate to start from, he could've done anything, anything at all... and what does he come up with? g1v1... man, it's not even consistant within itself, characters are out of character and it just doesn't make sense... it's CRAP.

i would've voted for abnett for reasons that karlypoos mentioned, but i though Sarracini deserved more of a TF related bashing (meaning i could've recall off of the top of my head what TF stuff Abnett had written).

I`d forgotten about that. Yes, Abnett deserves many beatings for that, as well as the mess of Warhammer novels he`s written.

Still voting for Sarrchini though. Git.

What? Josh "Hey! Wizard! Look at Me!" Blaylock! Blaylock's a cock.

DUKE: "Wow, Snake-Eyes, that was teh r0xx0r, even if it shattered this story's last fragment of credibility. Now, let me act out the writer's wishes and rub your penis for a while."

Sarracini. Others have produced worse (Budiansky certainly did, and I've heard bad things about the recent GI JOE crossovers) but they had other constraints. They had Hasbro breathing down their neck, or they had to work with huge casts of varying characters, or whatever else...these factors don't excuse their failures, but they mitigate them somewhat in my eyes.

Chris had no constraints. He could essentially do whatever he wanted with whatever characters he wanted. But the best he could come up with was a dreadfully mediocre story with sub-par dialogue. And to make matters worse, he let Pat put his own artwork ahead of the story...which bumped the whole thing down to something bordering on a crime against humanity.
