It begins...
come on [insert country of choice here]!
who do people think will win? eh?
My main priority at this stage is beating those dirty tampon lovers from Scandinavia.

I think Brazil will win the whole thing.
About the England - Tampon game: have you heard that our goalkeeper is injured?
During training Kim Källström shot him in the face, and now he has a mild concussion.
Instead we will have to play one of our reserves.
One of them has a total of one cap, and has played twenty competitive games the last four years (Rami Shaaban, he was Arsenal for a brief period).
The other one is 24 years old and has two caps.
How will they handle the pressure of playing in front of 50.000 - 60.000 people in a world cup game? Plus millions of tv-viewers.
There is a slight chance that our first choice keeper will be back to the England game though.
I sure hope so.
In any way both Sweden and England has a great chance of reaching the quarterfinal.
In the 1/8 games we will Poland, Germany, Costa Rica or Ecuador. I have a feeling both Sweden and England are able to beat all of them.

i really do dislike Argentina, in footballing terms, more than any other team on the planet.
i hope they don't win.
loving all this Fergie vs Sven stuff. As far as i am concerned clubs can f off when it comes to internationals, its not like they were expecting them not to be picked when they signed them.

I heard about the concussion, nearly pessed meself, esp as I know how ***** Shabbban is!
I also think that our Sweden and England will qualify then hammer whoever they get in the 2nd round - Germany are potentially a threat on home soil, I think they're bone though as far as actual skill levels go.
Anybody seen the picture of Jibrillirilrilrlilrlir Cisse's leg?
man alive.

I don't know how serious it is, but the "G14" wants every national team to pay insurrance for the players.Best First wrote: loving all this Fergie vs Sven stuff. This would be a disaster for Sweden since we would never be able to afford Ibrahimovic, Larsson and Ljungberg.
Can't believe I'm still here.

that would carry more weight as a notion if sports didn't predate our current power structures.
England were pretty pony, the Owen sub was nuts. That said Paraguay never looked liked doing much in front of goal and the ref was just awful. And he looked like a Vampire. Quite the anti-climax of a game though.
the Trinidad/Tampon result went in our favour though.

Japan will get it (maybe the day when one of the anime players exist).
Most probably Brazil. But if thats the case, next tournament they should not be allowed to play to give a chance to another team

You should have our manager - He wont make any idiotic personell decisions, oh, not at all.Obfleur wrote:Our manager is "happy with the result".
Blehg.
I can't believe ha played Anders Svensson instead of Kim Källström.
Kim got on in the 80:th minute or something, and delieved a couple of awesome crosses, creating goal chances, etc.

i suspect its more a 'happy' accident if anything, something that woks in theri favour but is a result of the electorate desires, not the politicos, which i think may be a word i just made up.man-with-the-dogs wrote:Ok, replaced "designed" with "used." Are we happy now? Pedantic bastard .Best First wrote:that would carry more weight as a notion if sports didn't predate our current power structures.
