Nay. Anything on the 'net of this?
Of course!
LINKAGE. It's a really great story, one of Lexicon's classics I think. I always pictured (before DW ran with the notion) Megatron rallying troops as a pitfighter so to speak after the end of this story. You might need to refresh your webpage before everything is readable. Lexicon is an oddball of a dog with its moods nowadays and half the time I enter in all the text starts out so small it's nothing.

Feel free to start one!
I've never tried to engage into character discussions about Beast Wars or Machines characters really, just events and whatnot. I'm sure there are some here that wouldn't mind giving it a shot. It might be a nice precurser to the supposedly upcoming Beast Wars title Furman is said will be working on.
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Megs is, I think, a good figurehead for the faction. His tactical sense seems to be lacking, though.
On Cybertron, while he was the Decepticon Supreme Commander, he didn't seem to have too many troops with him. I get the feeling that he left matters of logistics, resources and whatnot to his subcommanders while he roved around with his unit of elites striking crushing public blows against the Autobots. It would require a mix of brute force and showmanship...exactly the skills he honed as a sucessful gladiator, and exactly the things he'd need to attract followers to his cause.
But on Earth, he suddenly had to worry about all sorts of other things. I guess it was too much for him to handle.

A good idea. I'd have done it myself, but it would have meant breaking my streak of never starting a thread here ever...

That's some excellent insight.
It's kinda funny, b/c then you can make the distinction that Oppy, with his judgement, tactical skills, and resource management, was perfectly suited to being crash landed on another planet.
Therefore, if neither of them had left Cybertron, Megs would have remained in his element, and the Autobots would be reduced to guerilla warfare, which seems like where they ALWAYS end up.

Megatron was also a Palpatine-esque puppet-master to start off with. In State Games he engineered for the city states of Tarn and Vos to destroy each other, the survivors of which joined his cause against the Iaconian Autobots.

Palpatine is cool at the expense of Darth Vader. I never thought that Darth had been basically hoodwinked into destroying the Jedi...

Hoodwinking? It sounds so rude...
So, would Megatron have been the Master or the Learner?
