Customs G1 Bludgeon statue by Sludge (WIP)

Post by BB Shockwave » Mon Aug 03, 2009 9:12 am

My fellow Hungarian transfan, Sludge - who already made a kick-ass Terminator (Arnie) statue - started making (in part, due to ideas from Grimlock and myself) a G1 Bludgeon statue!
:ididit:

He's using Marvel artwork (mostly Wildman) as guidelines, and filling in from Don's art and the actual G1 toy in areas which are not shown in the comic.

It's only work in progress, but the master mold is close to being finished... I'll update when it's done! Of course, I plan to get one for myself as well... I think it looks wicked cool!

IMPRESSIVE work! :)

It looks to be a great-looking statue, for sure. You know, Sludge should probably try and break into art in some way. Or even the toy or model-kit industry. He's got quite a bit of talent.

I'll be sure to pass this on to him... :)

He's a big Dinobot fan (just bought MP Grimlock) and his next statue idea is Action Master Grimlock... with his energo sword, to match Bludgeon... :)

He might add the sword socket and the belt, but currently Sludge is looking into options for mass-production. Sadly 3D scanning/printing costs a fortune.

He's trying to make the master mold now - trouble is, it seems the companies doing 3-D scanning ask a small fortune for a scan, and printing is equally out of the question. So he's currently trying to find another way.
