That's awesome dude! What kind of program do you use for modeling? And what program do you use for texturing?
Maybe you should try out using a combo of Photoshop and Zbrush for texturing?
'ave a look at it. I just started using it a few weeks ago, and pretty soon some of my first attempts at enhancing my colouring with it will be rolling out of the gates.

Did u notice theres somthing u never see Zbrush doing? - robots.
Zbrush was designed to model complex organic shapes, that would normally take forever in a standard 3d app, like Max etc...
Painting your textures in photoshop is the norm.
Texture old cliffy and try some global illumination to light your scene.

I actually found something on the Zbrush-community the other day, regarding creating technological shapes and robots! I think I'm going to post it, so maybe Impy can give it a quick try, and give his impressions on the tecnique?
I'm too noob-ish to do it myself.

Apparently this here describes the sketch-work concepting and everything, all in Zbrush, in a scene with a girl and a giant robot, looks promising too. I could DEFINITELY see this way of working as something that might be usefull for Impy should he ever get the idea of doing his own comic...

UPDATE: Revised video
a really really really rough and quick animation test for the model. sorry for the quality. I had rendered it through Premiere (an older version) and didn't have any good codecs installed. this is a flash version though..
