Need a little help with some colouring... Comic style!

Hi all,

Well another hard day of college and more importantly another hour and a half of go no where film studies (Yes i took up film studies.. what its my doss lesson.... shush ok just shush...) means i had enough time to draw up a veryyyyy quick story board (Not in order btw) involving... Gobots... yes I said Gobots too.
I know its crazy go nuts.
Anywhooo I got home and though 'hang on these aren’t half bad' Anddd so I scanned them in and did a quick clean up.

Now hopefully you skipped that part because this is the part that actually matters, i need a little help colouring the panels in, either some pointers on how to do it (and by pointers I mean a step by step guide and I mean a REAL step by step) or... someone. Just…. to... do it for me... *Looks at Pred*
Because I’m useless with Photoshop etc and tutorials are normally geared towards ppl that know the basics... yah I don’t even know them.
Plus I always have the wrong version... its guaranteed I have the wrong version.
No kidding.
Wrong version.

Yah I know its no super amazing artists work butt any help would be appreciated huuugly, I might even send a fruit basket.
Oh right, the board, yah here the are (Again not in order, again only an hour and a half work… again, fruit basket).

Rightie-oh. What do we have here... GOBOTS?? GO-BOTS?!! What be going on in the pic? I suppose she( female gobot according to that profile??) is getting shot and is not happy about it?

What time of day do you picture it, and what kind of location? Also, would you like me to put some text in the word-balloons? What kind then?

It'll be a quickie, but maybe a foonny.

Oh oh oh to many questions!

First off, Yup it a girl .... not that i knew that when i was drawing it, i was under the impression they would have done a hasbro and called the recolor another name pretending to be original.... apparently not.
But for the general sake of keeping sanity lets just pretend they did, and lets reinvent the character as a bloke.
Ok? OK!

Errr next, yah plot .... is uhum,... well its non existent pred, the screens aren’t in order as they are shown though. It goes more 3-4-1-5-2.
As i say i more drew just parts and then drew a box around them so plots a little on the thin side so just leave the badly placed text box’s blank for the wile, i think next time my film studies lesson comes back round their will be more panels to work with in terms of a story.

Oh now your making me think to hard! I would guess it would be going on somewhere on home planet of….. ehem 'Gobertron'... I’m so not kidding, that’s what’s it call, and oddly... it looks allot like cybertron!

Buttt anything to do will be honest as long as theirs not a smiley sun in the background everyone’s a winner!

As a say Predsy, thanks again, this is hardly the greatest work in the world just something I whipped up in a bored lesson soooo any amount of time given is totally appreciated

Ok-k-k-k... I know I promised to give this a go, but I've just been so caught up in some other projects I've had going.. >_<

But seriously, in a few days or so I should be able to give it a proper go and present the first step here.

Haha, poor bast.

Glad to see that you've found a style that you can grow in.

ALSO: Here's some colour-prelims I made last night for the first panel. All the actual colours have been picked from 2 ref-pics of the (go)bot in question.

Tell me what you think. And did you want me to do something with all the white around the boxes, or did you just want the panels themselves coloured?

I'll probably paste them together for you in a mini-strip, and all white makes that easier. Heh.

Fun fact: The floppy that I used to dl the pics on is actually broken and corrupt, so I have to re-dl the remaining pics. Gah...
