This is an example (well for me) of when somthing just doesnt quite work.
Its almost right and then at the same time it isnt.
Mainly I belive I need a high-ress scan of Galvatrons head, and perhaps cybertron.
Also its the balance of light playing along the lines - hmm tricky. it might just not work at all.
But anyhows, not one to walk away from a crit, i thought id share it with ye all.

Agree that Cybertron added would be good. Megs was made by Primus (Cybertron) and Galvy by Unicron. Sort of.

yeah thats the generall I idea I was going down, the more I look at it, I need to find the comic i used for galvatron, and scan him in to get the lines sharper - thats what u get for cutting corners...

Im convinced the Idea is sound I just cant seem to drag it from my brain right now - oh well its start.

I don't like those white bands that cross the image.
I did some shiny chrome Autobot and Decepticon logos with that tool - they came out cool. Nice effect.
Perhaps the heads could be a bit bigger in frame though.
Besides that, nicely nice, pal.

it will get there, I can feel it will - I just thought for once, instead of posting a finnal image i make, id post a halfway job just so ppl can see how things change before its made to look pretty - on the subject of that 'tool' its really not a tool as such but just some layer work with graidents - i rarely use filters

I agree with Autobloke about the white bands...there's something a bit harsh about the image - and it's a wonderful idea and does look really neat as is so it'll be sweet as when finished - and I'm finding my eye is mainly drawn to Galvy rather than taking in the whole composition. Perhaps the coloring on his side is too bright or contrasting too harshly?
The D-Con logo blended in through Megs is lovely. The whole Megs part is ace; I'd love to see it with Cybertron added.

Yepp, the concept is good. As others have said, cybertron is missing. I'm not quite sure about the neon-foil like effect your doing here tho, it's a bit hard to make out, maybe you should use it in combination with a colour-hold? Aka, the lineart in a colour similar to the glow. That might just do it.

So you did the neonic-energy without any filters huh? Only custom-gradients in infinity, how does that work?

Well, I didn't get a chance to look at it until yesterday afternoon, but I'd say that the area to the bottom left of the image does a pretty good impression of cybertron. And I can't see any large-scale changes to the image since then.

Eh? Bottom left? Say what? I don't see any Cybertron in there, I see the maw of Unicron in a distance, in the upper right corner.

The only thing behind Megs is the Decepticon-symbol. I checked it just a few minutes ago.

Yes, Impy has put a grey shape in the darkness in that corner, but how on earth can you make that out to be Cybertron?

Mainly because I recognise it.

I also recognise the other aspects of the image, and know where they all came from - a good quality source.

I just click one button. But then the effect probably isn't as advanced as that of yours. It's a really old Adobe program.
Is that Cybertron image from the cartoon?

it is in fact cybertron in the bottom left - again instead of scanning in a super high ress cybe from the 1st annual inside cover, i grabbed a crappy gif off the web...

sometimes I do that just place stuff in my head.

anyhows ill go back to it tonight and try to finnish it off. - more ideas have spawned...
