New CMS and content

I've managed to script an import of all our comic reviews. They may need a little checking and tidying, though.

I'll work on bringing the interviews over sometime this week.

Would anyone like access to the CMS so that they can start editing, writing reviews or creating other content?

I would love to write some reviews. No paying gig for it at the moment, and I need to keep the skills sharp.

FYI I've finished v3 of the board and it'll go live later today. By 'finished', I mean that I did 99% of it about 3 months ago and I've been doing other stuff (working, sleeping, getting fat, buying clothes etc) since.

As a result, I think it includes virtually no suggestions made any later than around June! Hopefully in the next update, though :)

That should be sometime before Christmas.

btw, the front page seems to have gone a bit decepticon coloured - was that the plan? I appreciate it is already Decepticon motifed.

There is also a build notifier of some kind at the foot of the page which is more g2 in styling.

Yeah, I thought I'd better show myself just to prove I was still around :)

I'm in the process of tidying up the articles in the CMS. I had planned to reimport them programatically, but I think it's just easier to tidy them up by hand.

The homepage is still a bit of a state... I'm just not sure what to do with it! Any ideas?

FYI there will also be a (veery small) release tonight to upgrade the phpBB version (it's going up by a whole 0.1!).

I anticipate no downtime/noticeable effects.
