Some of it a bit spoilery.

Some interesting stuff - earth seems well out of the picture, although also some of the usual guff about the role the last 3 years has played in "getting us to this point".
Yes you had to release a lot of pointless badly written **** to get us to this point. really, it's in no way worrying that you keep telling yourself that.
Still - Roberts, here we come. Bosh.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

They both sound great to me. Let's stay off Earth and get the good sf stories the Transformers can do! I'm hoping that Verity will be a regular on the Rocherts title. I'll buy Barber's title every month even if it stinks, out of gratefulness for a Rocherts regular.

Agree entirely. But..(and I'm quoting from the Newsarama article in case something doesn't line up)Best First wrote: Some interesting stuff - earth seems well out of the picture, although also some of the usual guff about the role the last 3 years has played in "getting us to this point".

"Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye follows Rodimus Prime as he leaves Cybertron to go after the mythical Knights of Cybertron, who were said to have been the guardians and creators of the original Cybertronian culture. The stories of them have taken on mythical stature, with some robots believing them to be a myth entirely."
Wasn't the original mandate of IDW TF to get away from all the mythical, semi-theological Furmanish stuff? It just seems like depending on your perspective, this is either "We've done ALL this work putting these pieces together and only NOW after this groundwork do we feel comfortable hanging out on Cybertron and talking about mecha-gods." or "Well, we've f***ed around for awhile, our sales are crap, there's no Bayformers 4 on the horizon, so I guess we'll finally give you comic fanboys what you want. Just to make sure you don't have TOO much fun though, Rodimus Prime."

I dunno; James Roberts has alluded to different religious philosophies among the TFs and made it sound interesting. The guy does not go for simplicity. The classism in Road to Chaos was a lot more interesting than the simplistic Dickensian ripoff in Megatron Origin.
