Nice art.

Pretty brutal opening to Chaos.

The dialog seems to have gone down the pan :(

"This is a weapons facility!" Because presumably nobody working there knew that and there was no more professional way of bringing it to the attention of the reader?

"Irony is a b-" Naturally when you're going to get your face punched in, your dying wish would be to get out one last witty rejoinder.

"What's happening to my planet? I have a right to know!" So much for the dark, brooding, hate-filled Megatron. That lasted a whole of two issues. Now he's a dominating, 'I want conquest!' sort of Megatron.

The art is pretty neat, I'm not sure about the pencils but I really like the colouring.

You can tell that this is what Costa was referring to re: getting James to tell him what characters to fit his already written dialogue to. "Uh, can I get some cannon fodder names, please?"

I keep reading (not necessarily here) all of this praise for IDW for how good the last two issues were. No. The praise belongs to Roberts and Milne (never thought I'd say that in regards to Milne. He really figured it out).

Repeat after me- there are no Transformer comics until December. :)

The art, was neat, tho'.
For now, it seems like IDW wants my money.

Definitely - including perennial favourites Downshift and Camshaft: actual characters to actually kill but so obscure and lacking in characterisation that their killing can be done in almost any way and with utter impunity.

Holy schinznit!

Those covers are some of the best I've ever seen, particularly that black and white Prime one. Could it rival "Are All Dead"?

Not going to read the preview, don't want to be spoiled. But from the sounds of it, looks like Costa's in full force. Damn.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Oh no, it's CO-WRITTEN, so it's the best of both worlds!

*cough*
For now, it seems like IDW wants my money.

Like Karl said, the dialogue was a little hokier than what we have been recently reading, but ooooooh man, that art is sweet.

The art is brilliant isn't it.

No reason why it can't be like this all the time?

I'll buy it for the art, and the hopes that James, who "co-wrote" it even though Costa came up with the original plot and dialogue, will have some effect on story quality somewhere.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
