You may recall during (and after) Pat Lee screwed pretty much every Dreamwave creator (including several members of this board) out of thousands and thousands of dollars, Mr. Johnston reported blow-by-blow updates on the situation. Now, he's had the chance to interview Superstar Artist Pat Lee. (Typing that actually made me gag.)
I've said it before and I'll probably say it again. Every single time I open up a comic book news page, I hope that I'll finally read that Lee has hung himself. Sadly, that's not yet happened. Still, the interview's a good start!

"Hanged" is used when talking about a person. Which is something I don't consider Superstar Artist Pat Lee. In fact, from now on, I'll not even capitalize his name. **** pat lee.Karl wrote:Hanged, dear heart, you hope that Pat Lee has hanged himself x
It is a nice warming thought though

So they should have known better, despite the fact that they were being reassured otherwise by management. Uh huh.I am unable to account for everyone but as far as I know, most creators at Dreamwave were aware that we were going through financial difficulties. We didn’t announce it, but people were not being paid in full, and it was pretty obvious.
This man has his head so far up his ass it's not even funny.

He just needs to come out and just say he's a dick wad and be done with it. If he's trying to turn over a new leaf, he should pay back those he owes, admit what he did was wrong, and maybe then the comic book world might find a way to open the door for him.
Instead, he still has the "my hand was forced" mentality and "I'm a victim too" spiel.
Buddy, you had a predetermined calculated plan to save yourself by screwing others.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Simon Furman has chimed in over on the Bleeding Cool forum:
Simon Furman here. Just to give some context to the timeline of pre-bankruptcy events, that face to face (that Rich mentions in the interview) I had with Pat was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, over the weekend of Nov 19-21st 2004. We were all at a small convention, almost the entire Dreamwave team. Less than four weeks later the news officially broke (no direct communication here from Pat at all — I had to track him down!) that DW were bankrupt. Not only was Pat saying keep up the good work at Tulsa, he was giving me 'new' work. When I asked about the no-show payments I was told categorically that there was no problem and the money would come through when I got back. Roger (Lee) was on the case. Not only was I not told there was any hint of an impending cessation of trading, no one there was any the wiser. In fact, Pat had artists like Joe Ng and others actively working on DW pages during the convention weekend. Please don't believe anything that comes out of this man's mouth. I did, and look where it got me!

Surely not paying Alex "Sausage Fingers" Milne counterbalances all of Lee's actual sins?

I wanted to see where Energon was heading, I found very interesting how the few autobots and decepticons got to face the terrorcons before Megatron arrived.Optimus Prime Rib wrote:Armada was done, WW3 was just starting and hadnt gotten past its Target: 2006 roots yet.
Not sure I cared to see it finished. MTMTE was cool at least
And wanted to see how WW3 could have ended.
And MTMTE was great in many ways -although many supposed story bits and images were very crappy made, and that a lot of characters had "no known weakness".
The rest was pretty much trash.
