I never even knew about this 'SWORD' comic before (then again I do not follow Marvel comics these days) but this seems interesting. And I like the design, an updated version of his pre-Dr. Who encounter days. He even has the same attitude. I hope he is there to stay... :)

It's the real DH! After all these years of Death's Head 2, and then Furman's AIM Death's Head 3 in Amazing Fantasy, and all we wanted was teh real intergalactic bounty hunter back. Yaaay.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

OMG Death's Head is BACK. And Kieron Gillen just got upped a notch on my awesome chart.
Having read it I'm loving how the character is handled, both artistically and in characterisation. Furman would be proud. The look is pretty damn near the original, with his armour only lacking the green colour, and a slightly updated head which is clearly still the DH we know and love, updated only slightly for a cooler modern look. His mace is a bit different too, but likewise looks cool.

Clearly written by someone who was a fan when he was 13 years old. Like I was then, except I was half his age at that point.

The only thing he could have done that would make me smile as much would have been if he'd given Darkfall Online 1/10 when he re-reviewed it for Eurogamer after the first reviewer gave it 2/10 and all two dozen Darkfall players started creating sockpuppet accounts on EG and flaming them...

It was more than just a brief cameo in the first issue? Awesome. I flicked through the first in Forbidden Planet and though he was only in about three pages it got him pretty much bang on right.

He's in something like the first five issues, isn't he?

I hope so. I've told 'em to stick it on my standing order for as long as he continues to show up.
