This game is the answer to all our prayers. I hope it sells a gazillion of copies.

And hopefully will have a movie like this.

Well, to sate your appetite (and if you have an iPhone), I encourage everyone to check out the G1 TF game on sale at iTunes. It's got adorable animated graphics, gameplay like a cross between Civ and an RTS, and even some story and characterization.

Yup, War for Cybertron is looking spiffy. We'll be picking up our copy when it comes out... if you plan on buying the game and have a 360, you might end up playing against me and not know it at some point. Isn't that a fun thought?

You got a name for it? "Transformers Game" search on the iTunes store just brings up the previews for War for Cybertron.

Which system should I get? I only have an XBOX and PS2.

I know one has Blueray. I was going to get the XBOX 360 because I wanted to play Halo 3.

Still can't make up my mind. Anybody know the pros and cons of both? Impy? He seems to be well versed in video game play.

The biggest reason I let off on the video games is because my fingers started hurting and I couldn't comfortably perform cataract surgery the next day, which wasn't fair to my patients. But maybe in limited doses...

Not too 'up' with all these gamer things, but as far as I could glean from a friend a while back, with the XBox 360 you have to pay for online gaming (different types of XBox online accounts allow different things) while PS3 online gaming is free (or, rather, no additional costs beyond your existing internet), but PS3 games tend to be more expensive than XBox 360 games.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask about that, as I only have a 360 because I wanted a game system and got one for Christmas a few years back.

I'm tempted to look into buying a Playstation 3, but I don't know anyone that has one so haven't really heard any first-hand reviews. The only thing I've really heard about it is "It's a cheap Blu-ray player", which I don't really care about.

You can get Xbox live for about 2.50 a month if you shop around (at most 3.30) so its not that bad.

The xbox has better games for my money so i am happy to pay that.

Indeed I did. I burned through the whole game pretty quick, but it's actually got a lot of replay value, although that's most likely due to the fun of the graphics. It was a lifesaver when I was stuck in an airport in Barcelona a few days ago.

In terms of WFC - bi concerned by the lack of reviews this close to the release date...

Seems like they had a good presence at E3: here'sthe E3 trailer and here's a video on the Co-Op Escalation mode.

E3 hasn't started yet.

360 online mode is better by a long way... U have to pay for MP but not for downloads etc...

Multi-format games are always better on the 360. See digital foundry for evidence.

I own all the systems, I currently prefer my PS3 but would by the TF game for the 360.

Also the 360 is alot cheaper than the PS3.

Next week at E3 a new 360 slim will be shown, and Natal/wave, so save your cash!
