Carcass interviews Bob B

The Rusting Carcass has posted an interview with Bob Budiansky in which he discusses all things Transformers.

His explanation that he liked the "fish-out-of-water" stories really goes a long way in explaining why some of his stuff worked, and why some of it didn't, and why he made a mark on the franchise. In that sense, he's very right that the first movie is a lot like a Bob Bud story.

I did... In fact he invented most of the names of the characters (of Grimlock I am sure).

Nice in depth interview with a couple of very interesting revelations (Starscream's original name Ulchtar??) though some questions were a bit too specific - Bob had no chance of remembering some of them.

I have to say I love Bob B. Was never his biggest fan but with all the crap that's come out since Marvel I've appreciated his hard work all the more.

In fact it's put me in the mood to read some of the old stuff again.
