So says IGN.com who have some new information regarding Megatrons' role in the new TF:M2 - thats transformers the movie 2, not a sequal to the brillant 1980's cartoon movie but a live action sequal to M.Bay's blockbuster movie from last year.

On one hand, Megatron as a Tank is cooler than Megatron as a Gun.
But (in a bit of retro fanboy angst) I don't understand how you can explain away Megatron changing his alt mode from a tank to a gun whilst at the bottom of the ocean, but you can't give me a plausible explanation for mass shifting? Ridiculous.
And I HATE how having The Fallen in the movie gives people the impression that Dreamwave was anything other than crap on a stick. The CHUD article link on that IGN page even refers to him as "The Satan of Transformers." Gah.

Has anybody said that's what happens? I'd imagine they drag him up, revivify him, then he picks an Earth mode.Shanti418 wrote:I don't understand how you can explain away Megatron changing his alt mode from a tank to a gun whilst at the bottom of the ocean
Seems fair to me. The character was always blatantly inspired by Lucifer, so anybody with sense will see Dreamwave as a bunch of hacks who lifted a concept from the Bible and couldn't be arsed to hide it well. And I HATE how having The Fallen in the movie gives people the impression that Dreamwave was anything other than crap on a stick.
