Bays says hes been working on the script to T2 himself, ignoring the writters strike in Hollywood.
IGN got a few bits of interesting information including a proposed release date of: June 26, 2009...

Is Shia in the sequel?

I'm more bothered about that than whether they wheel out Soundwave, Shockwave, the Dinobots etc..!

I'm a bit peeved that he ignored the writers-strike tho, even if he's not a member of the union... Oi! Mr Bay! Where be yo' solidarity at, eh?!

Yeah, if he does go against the strike, he's not going to do himself any favours when it comes to getting a script for anything he does in the future, eh?

Plus, is anyone else worried about the quality of a 'homebrew' script? Has he done any writing before?

Hmm, ok. After reading a bit more closely it appears as if he's mostly just done this type of rough template of what he was thinking about having in the movie, so I guess it wouldn't be too bad.

Except for the whole writing whilst there's a strike thing of course.
